I just got back from safari with Micato and can’t get over how amazing the wildlife was in Kenya and Tanzania. But what I can’t get over more is how smoothly Micato eliminated every stress point before it became a stress point. The moment I came to them with questions about how to secure my visas, they had a staff person swoop in and do it for me. Throughout East Africa, we had a Micato Safari Director by our side, every step of the way, taking care of every last detail, so we never had to worry about what time to be somewhere. We never had to worry about anything, really. And there were luxuries included that we don’t even afford ourselves at home, like having our laundry done for us every single day. And the fact that all gratuities are included… I didn’t entirely appreciate how stressful tipping can be until Micato took it away. I loved every second of this safari and loved watching Micato handle it all. It was truly seamless. I can imagine going back to Africa in a heartbeat but can’t imagine going back without Micato.

Recently returned from Micato’s Grand Safari in Kenya and Tanzania and am struggling to find words to describe our 15-day adventure of a lifetime! Spectacular! Amazing! From the moment we first contacted Micato to book our adventure, their attention to detail was fanatical, and that attention to detail continued until the very last minute when we boarded our flight home! Micato staff met as we arrived in Nairobi at nearly midnight to greet us and escort us to the fabulous Hemmingway Hotel. The next morning, Jane Pinto, the owner and founder of this amazing company met us for coffee and to see us off on our Safari. For the next 14 days, Wesley, our tour guide extraordinaire, escorted us on our journey, teaching, guiding, and pampering us all along the way. The accommodations at the camps were spacious and luxurious. The food exquisite and bountiful. The Micato brochure advertised a spectacular trip and Micato’s staff delivered far beyond our high expectations. For 15 days, we completely relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of Africa without worry or stressing over logistics. The fact that all tips and gratuities are taken care of by Micato made the trip even more carefree and enjoyable. We will remember this trip with Micato for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Jane and Felix, and all the Micato staff, for your vision and dedication to Africa and those that visit Africa.

Our Micato trip was amazing. We packed in so many standout experiences, it’s hard to pick our favorites. The animals stole the show, but we miss the people most of all! Every staff person was a delight to meet and work with. Most importantly, we could not have been matched more perfectly than we were with our guide Kago. It’s hard to convey how much he impacted our experience - he was so knowledgeable and so quickly was in tune with our family’s style.
We would definitely use Micato again to plan a trip back to Africa!

Our first trip to Africa and we could not have asked for a more superb experience. From the moment we landed, Micato was there. Our accommodations were spectacular (over the top), our guide, Iggy P. was outstanding and became part of our family, and the safari in Sabi Sands exceeded all expectations. If you are planning on a trip to South Africa, look no further than Micato. A first class and beyond once in a life time experience. Thank you for an amazing experience.

This was our second trip, this time with all our all children and grandchildren (party of 12). Incredible service, immaculate attention to detail, world class director Dennis made it effortless. We would never safari with anyone else. Have been connected to Micato since 2005. They are the very best! HIGHLY recommend them! Thank you so much for a world class perfect family memory!

We have been to many places in Africa before, this was a complex trip. First time we used Micato. They were the best tour providers and organizers we have experienced in 30 years of travel. From the luxury places we stayed to every last detail, they were thinking and planning one step ahead. Including a surprise dinner at a place in JHB I was hoping to go to but never told them (but they knew I was a foodie). Wonderful! That and more made this trip to 3 countries and multiple excursions memorable and stress-free (well, as much as possible. The gorillas didn't know). Thanks to all who worked so hard on our behalf. It was worth everything - Micato knows Africa better than anyone. Nice job.
