In September 2023 my wife and I safaried with her sister and our brother in law to Rwanda, Tanzania and Zanzibar. Micato arranged a private custom safari for the four of us that was beyond exceptional. The people and the animals of these regions speak for themselves and create an extraordinary tableau regardless. But Micato’s magic is how they put together the journey through these regions and, more importantly, the beautiful humans who act as your Micato guides and drivers along the way. Moses in Rwanda drove us across his country and shared some of his most intimate family history and experiences with us while tending to our every need. Steven in Tanzania travelled by car and plane back and forth across the country with us and became like a brother. He even let us use his very fancy camera for the entire time to capture zoom photos we couldn’t achieve with our iPhones. And after Zanzibar Micato rescued us from airline-aggedon when we had to charter a plane to our flight back home.

We just returned from our African Safari vacation with Micato Safaris. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable trip we have ever been on thanks to the team at Micato. There are tourists and travelers. We were immersed in Africa by Micato so we felt like real African travelers. The guides, the drivers, the safari director, the airport meet and assist team, the hotels, the game lodges were all outstanding. All of these contributed to an enjoyable vacation. Micato provided us with a safe, comfortable and seamless African vacation experience from the time we were met at the Johannesburg Airport until we entered the airport in Nairobi. That is quite an achievement, considering the distances and complexities of travelling in Africa. The main reason for the success of our trip were the people at Micato. Every single person made sure our questions were answered, the itineraries were communicated and we were being looked after. They did it in the most genuine manner. They made it look effortless and easy. I would highly recommend Micato Safaris to anyone who wants an incredible African travel experience.

We have recently had the unbelievable experience of going on a Safari with Micato. I interviewed several different companies and decided on Micato due to the a variety of factors including their numerous awards, positive reviews and the friendly, knowledgeable team we spoke with about the trip.
The safari was absolutely amazing and the Micato team took care of every detail. The accommodations were spectacular, food amazing but the people really made the difference. For us it was the trip of a lifetime and we highly recommend Micato.

Micato exceeded every expectation my husband and I had providing the best vacation we have ever experienced. Our safari to East Africa was made a 5 star experience due to the staff and accommodations but mostly the credit goes to our guide, Raphael Emmanuel Moleli. He was with us every step of the way. He IS a problem solver whose knowledge of plants, birds, animals- and yes, people is impressive. There wasn't a question our group asked (There were only 6 of us!) that he couldn't answer. This is not a once in a life time experience- we plan to return with Micato!

We have traveled extensively using bespoke companies but none can compare with the attentiveness, knowledge and luxury offered by Micato. We worked with Marion Miller and from my initial contact to our return home, Marion was always available to answer questions and was concerned with every and any detail that could enhance our trip. As we were celebrating my birthday, she organized a special dinner under the stars in Jaipur with beautiful decor and musicians. It was absolutely breathtaking. Our tour guide, Hem Singh, was a wealth of knowledge, professional and a delight to spend time with. He made long drives most enjoyable. The hotels and rooms offered lived up to every expectation. Micato far exceeded our expectations in every area; the sights and animals we saw, the exceptional lodging and food, and best of all - our guides. The guides were personable, very knowledgeable about the animals, flora and history of the areas. We would like to especially say thanks to Eric Guda who was with us for Kenya and Tanzania. We would definitely request him if we ever do a repeat. It’s so much fun to get to know something about a country from someone who knows and loves it. Micato took care of us from beginning to end in much more than a 5 star manner. In our opinion, Micato is the only way to go. Peggy and Scott
