Our experience with Micato was more than we could ever have dreamed! We had 3 great safari guides, Eugene, Michelle and Henry, who went beyond all expectations to show all facets of Africa through their eyes. An experience of a lifetime!

Our 4th trip to Africa was our best yet. Each trip with MICATO has offered something new and exciting.
Mr. Clive de Villiers, our MICATO Safari Director, was EXCELLENT! He was so knowledgeable, well-read and a joy to be with as our guide throughout the whole trip.
Clive made sure we accomplished our three most important priorities: attend mass at St Mary's Cathedral; visit Table Mountain; enjoy our two safari camps. Nancy's great great grandfather was married in St Mary's in 1860 and her great grandfather was baptized there in 1861.
Mr Yaseen Fisher, our MICATO Concierge at the "One and Only" and Mr. Sulaiman Moerat, MICATO driver, both in Cape Town, were so helpful. Clive, "Sully" and Yaseen arranged for a Concierge physician, visit to an Emergency Medical Clinic, prescriptions and quick return to the hotel after Nancy became ill the 2nd night in Cape Town. After a day's rest Nancy was fine.
Our stays at Saseka Tented Camp (Thornybush Game Preserve) and Earth Lodge (Sabi Sabi Game Preserve) were wonderful.
We saw the"Big Five" and so many more animals and birds on our game viewing drives - it was an overwhelming, beautiful experience.
At Saseka we had Taya, our driver-guide, and Elliott, our tracker. At the Earth Lodge we had Viviane, our driver-guide and Benny, our tracker. Everyone at the camps and with MICATO went "above and beyond" to assure our trip was a wonderful experience.
We both wonder how anyone could travel to Africa without MICATO!

Do yourself a really big favor and RUN, don't walk, to your favorite travel advisor and book a Micato safari. The incredible wildlife, the stunning vistas, and the lavish tented camps all sell themselves, but Micato takes the journey to another level.They are meticulous. Do you enjoy being spoiled with lovely handmade local gifts waiting for you on your gorgeoulsy netted bed at night? And it's not even your birthday! How about a Micato safari director named George that feels like family five minutes after meeting? Have you ever wondered what you would do if your luggage didn't bother to show up? Micato has it covered. Jammies, clothing, and toiletries magically appear in your room so that you don't miss a beat. How about that nursing baby rhino you're watching on game drive that your bestie back home would die to see? Well let's just use the Micato vehicle's WIFI to send her a pic from your phone as you're viewing in real time. How cool is that! These are just a few little glimpses into what Micato has in store for you. The rest needs to remain a magical surprise because you need to go find out for yourself!!! Thank you, Micato, from the bottom of my heart for a lifelong memory. Five stars doesn't even begin to cover it.

After much research into safari tour providers, my husband and I decided to go with Micato. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip that was thoughtfully produced by Micato. They thought of every detail and had it planned out to be the best trip ever. Our safari director, Henry was knowledgeable, friendly, had quite the sense of humor. When we left, we felt that we had made a long-time friend! All of our drivers were excellent and well-trained to get through the Kenyan mud! As a hospitality professional myself, it was obvious to me that Micato had been doing this and learning throughout the process on how to make vacationers dreams come true!

Fantastic trip to South Africa with Micato Safaris. They took care of every detail and had several unexpected surprises for us along the way. From getting to privately meet and learn form Christo Brand in Cape Town to beautiful sundowners while on a wonderful Safari to a fantastic helicopter tour of Victoria Falls. Our guide Graham was truly knowledgeable on all facets of our surroundings and with us throughout. He even took the time to take pictures and provide those to us, some of which now hang in our home. While this was our first trip with Micato, it will not be our last.
