We just returned from our Classic Grand Safari in East Africa and could not be more impressed with the entire Micato Team. From our advisor Carson, to or Safari Director Julius and Mercy, our Concierge representative. Special kudos to Julius who guided us from our arrival in Nairobi throughout the entire two week trip. He was passionate about his job and shared his vast knowledge of the various locations, animals and inhabitants of the many locations that we visited. The highlight was our visit to Loisaba, a private reserve that allowed us to travel off-road and after dark, providing an experience that I did not expect. Every detail was considered and executed flawlessly over the course of the entire trip. It was obvious that traveling with the Micato team made a huge difference in our enjoyment of the entire trip!

Micato certainly lives up its sterling reputation. When experienced traveler friends learned my India journey was with Micato, each exclaimed, "Well, say no more. You're in great hands." How true that proved to be. The itinerary was superb - all the best sites and paced just right. The hotels were memorable and so divine. Micato's thoughtful touches of a special gift at each stop are icing on the cake. They really knock themselves out to exceed client expectations.
Our trip leader, Hem Singh, is extraordinary in his knowledge of history/art/culture/politics with a commanding presence and tremendous experience. The entire journey was seamless under Mr. Singh's direction, even with last-minute pivots. He anticipated everyone's needs, and with his keen memory, upon any request there was no need to ask a second time, as he just got it done! He watched over our "flock" intensely and thoughtfully.
I simply cannot rave enough about Micato and look forward to another travel adventure with them in the future.

It’s a bit difficult to praise Micato Safari’s excellence without repeating what so many others have stated, but Micato is truly the gold standard for luxury safari travel. Period! My wife and I recently returned from a 3 week private custom safari through Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda, that exceeded our expectations at every moment. Our Micato Guide, Peter G, has an absolutely impressive knowledge of the wildlife, the cultures, and the unique inhabitants in every area we visited. Every detail of our journey was masterfully curated specifically for us by him and the impressive Micato team. And being a private safari, it allowed us to do things at our desired schedule and spend as much time as we wanted at very close distances to some amazing natural wonders. Yes, we saw the big 5, the little 5, the ugly 5, etc…, but just as amazing for us was meeting indigenous peoples and nomadic tribes that rarely interact with outsiders. A really amazing experience! It became quite obvious to us that Micato has a stellar reputation in Africa, and I believe that provided us access, special privileges and opportunities that other safari outfitters might not have been able to. Micato remains the best of the best safari outfitter, and if you are serious about a luxury safari, then we highly recommend working with their staff to plan an adventure that will exceed your highest expectations.

We just returned from the Palaces of India tour, with an extension to Cochin.
I can’t find the adequate words to describe how amazing this voyage was. My husband and I agree that it’s the best trip we’ve ever taken.
The entire MICATO experience was 5-star from start to finish. We didn’t want it to end.
From the time that we first spoke to Marion and she helped us organize a private tour that met our desires, followed by pre-departure gifts that piqued our anticipation, the technical assistance with our visas from Henna, the smoothness of arrival in and departure from India, the best guide (Virendra—imagine travelling with a fun and knowledgeable friend), accommodations that really were palaces and got better and better as we continued our tour (the luxury accommodations and hospitality of India were beyond imagination), experiences with food, culture and history, more gifts along the way. And I have not scratched the surface. We learned so much. I would not change an instant.
As far as we are concerned, there’s only one way to experience India, and that’s with MICATO.

Our Micato led trip to India far exceeded our expectations. The care and level of service we experienced was over the top fantastic. Best of all was our guide, Puneet Dan, who accompanied us throughout our 3 week journey. As first timers to India, his deep knowledge and obvious love for his country really helped us begin to understand the beauty, variety and complexity that is India. With patience and humor and our “chalo gi” standing instruction he made our experience rich and lots of fun. We came to India thinking this would be a “one and done” experience and now we’re ready for a return visit - definitely with Puneet as our leader.

It is difficult to put into words how extraordinary our trip was. Micato really listened to our interests and organized the perfect set of experiences. Our guide, Puneet, was hands down the best guide I have ever had, and I am a very experienced traveler! He was intelligent, responsive to our every whim, and made sure that every detail was perfectly taken care of. He also has a great sense of humor and added so much to our experience, with his understanding of Indian history and culture. Truly, I can’t have higher praise….and gratitude for the trip of a lifetime.
