We had a wonderful time, and everything is perfect! As I shared with our guide - we felt like a Royal Family - it is because Micato treated us Royally!
While searching for Leopard at the end of the first night of Safari, I came out with the "Song of Leopard", hoping we will see one the next day. The next day, all of our wishes were granted; so, it became the "Song of Micato" (Modified Lyric of the song APT.):
"Don't you want me like I want you, baby

We had a wonderful time in Africa on our first visit and first exposure to Micato Safaris. Everything you read is spot on. My wife and I's every need was taken care of from the moment we landed in Nairobi. Our Safari Director, John Scorpion has to be one of the best in the business, as were all the Micato folks we met. Merci our customer service coordinator welcomed us when we arrived and made sure our trip was as expected. We had several drivers over the course of our stay, Andrew, Maulidi and Steven. Each of them was professional, engaging and full of information. Between John and the driver guides every question was answered and our every need taken care of. We were told that people come to Africa for the animals, which we did, but that they return for the people, which we will. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Micato Safaris in Kenya and Tanzania.

Took the Micato trip “ Heart of Kenya & Tanzania” with my granddaughters. It was a wonderful adventure and done with 5 star quality all the way. Carson in NY was such a great help making sure we were all ready. Our tour guide, Raphael, was so knowledgeable about the area and the animals, making the experience so informative. Just a fantastic trip!

Our Micato Safaris adventure exceeded expectations and was truly a lifetime experience. The Micato team was great and ensured every detail was thought through and taken care of. Our Micato guide “George” lead us through the adventure and did everything possible to make our experience special. From the sundowner cocktails in the bush, to special private dinners and lunches. I would highly recommend Micato to my friends or anyone looking for a high end experience.

Our Micato Grand Safari through Kenya and Tanzania was truly exceptional from beginning to end. The itinerary, accommodations, service, guides and attention to detail were all first class, but what made the experience especially memorable was our Safari Director, Julius Kosgei.
Julius was outstanding in every respect. His knowledge of the wildlife, the parks, the culture and the region was remarkable, but just as impressive was the way he shared that knowledge. He made every day interesting, fun and engaging, while always handling the countless details behind the scenes with calmness, professionalism and grace.
Over the course of the safari, Julius became much more than our Safari Director. His warmth, sense of humor, patience and genuine desire to make every guest’s experience special made a tremendous impression on us. He anticipated needs before we even had to ask and consistently went above and beyond.
Micato’s reputation for extraordinary service is well deserved. The entire journey felt seamless, personal and beautifully executed, and it gave us memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
The Pinto family should be extremely proud of the organization they have built and of people like Julius who represent Micato so extraordinarily well. Julius is a tremendous asset to Micato and one of the finest travel professionals we have ever encountered.

My spouse and I recently returned from a 9-day Micato safari in South Africa and it was the trip of a lifetime. From the planning and proposal stage working with Meg Buffkin in New York to the Micato representative who travelled with us throughout our trip (Stephen Bell) to the local game reserve guides and trackers at the three camps where we stayed, every detail was anticipated and every need taken care of. The accommodations were exquisite, the food was spectacular and the animal sightings were other-worldly. Many thanks to Micato for making this very special for us !
