I live in the far west of Houston, Katy actually, so Lucky Penny is about an hour drive for me. I had already checked out a couple of dealerships close to me and wasn’t finding what I wanted so decided to take a jaunt out to LP this past Saturday.
They have a big show room filled with all manner and types of Harleys from the most basic to fully dressed. I’d estimate about 80% of their stock is HD. I wasn’t in the market for a Harley so didn’t think I’d find what I was looking for (ideally a sport tourer). After browsing the aisles of bikes for a while I was approached by Lee Ann, one of their sales associates. I told her what I was looking for and she took me over to a little section that had several adventure and sport tourers. I really wasn’t looking for an adventure bike. I’m not short but most adventure bikes are just a little too tall for my liking. Lee Ann is knowledgeable , friendly and not at all pushy.
After checking out their selection, I had decided that they did not have what I was looking for. I was just about to walk out when Lee Ann told me about a bike they had just gotten in that wasn’t even on their show room yet. She took me back to their back room and there I found my bike. It was a sweet 2013 BMW K1600GT Premium.
The sales cycle is pretty standard, it took me about an hour and a half to get through all the paperwork.
Today, Tuesday, I rode my Beemer home. And as a sidenote, the bike had not gone through their inspection process as of my initial viewing. Today their techs checked it out and ended up replacing the rubber with new. They did not add to my cost, and I was quite happy they were thorough enough to do that.
All in all, I had a great experience at Lucky Penny. And would go there again. Especially if I was in the market for a Harley. Kudos to Lee Ann and Mary for making it a very pleasant experience.
