Had lunch here recently and it was quite terrible, we were pretty shocked. It’d been some time since I’d eaten at a True Food but I remembered it being solid. Despite being early (11:44ish) the food seemed a day old. My poke bowl rice seemed day-old hard/crunchy, and the chicken on my husband’s dish was dried out and clearly not freshly cooked, also as tho old. We sadly won’t go back.

This place looks really nice. However I didn't get the experience that the environment shows. Service was super slow... To a point we waited almost hour for our foods. Not only that.... My pesto Pasta didn't even come with chicken after waiting all that time. There was no way I was waiting any longer for a remake. Doubt I'll come back here honestly.

Ordered two pizzas. Paid for basil and they put literally 4 leaves on it. The other chicken sausage pizza is overly salty. The dough is bad. Frozen quality pizza.

All the hypocrisy of Northern Virginia culture wrapped up in a single chicken wrap: I was so exited for this place when I went there for lunch because it’s a health food option near my work. The food is bad. Why on earth would you put only the stems of broccoli in a wrap? The only thing worse than waiting 25 min for a chicken wrap is having the wrap parade health quackery in front of you. Server was nice enough but didn’t know the menu. Will not go back to true “food” kitchen.

I will preface this with it was Valentine’s Day and we were expecting it to be busy, but overall the whole experience was not great. If you’re going to host a “Valentines day experience” and take reservations a head of time and continue to pack your restaurant, you should be able to handle the volume of people you are sitting and have the staff to support it, don’t just cram everyone in.
Our waitress was extremely overwhelmed. She took our drink order, food order and brought us the check. Never once checked on us until after the meal was over and didn’t even ask if we wanted another drink or anything. The food took over an hour to come out and apps and entrees came out together. The stake was iced cold and I asked for it medium well and it came out medium rare. The dumplings and pizza cold as well. But Atleast the ramen was a little warmer than room temp. Couldn’t have anything go back because we were never asked how it was and if it did go back we’d probably be waiting another 40 minutes.
The stake was great after I brought it home to finish cooking it on the stove. Poor management really led to a horrible experience.

Medicore at best. Under seasoned, portion sizes were SO small that they seemed child-size, food lacked any sort of imagination. Healthy food does not have to be boring and uninspired.

Sorry to the owner but this is my honest review. The starter avocado with baked chip was really salty. The lasagna was really salty. The quality of burger and taste was below average compare to other burger joint. The green salad on the side was salty and smells of old wet rag. Just for suggestion: just because the food is 'clean', organic, fresh, gmo free, etc...it does not mean people will pay preminum to eat. However, the atmosphere, the decoration was really eye catching. People come to restaurant to eat, not to feel awed by the decorations and the store image. I am 100% sure that this restaurant will close down in few months.

Terrible!! Ordered delivery today from Reston True Foods and not what we paid for. Turkey burger had no guac, was almost cold, and the buy one pizza get one pizza special was really one normal pizza split in half. The pizza crusts were the consistency of less than a saltine cracker with hardly any detectable cheese. Shrimps did not taste fresh. Oh, and all the food was borderline COLD. Never dining at that business ever again. Trust has to be earned especially for health. This business does not care anymore and neither do I.

I ordered their two for one pizza through Uber Eats. Almost $40.00. The pizzas were PUNY as in tiny. What a rip off. It did taste good. For the two for one it is a joke.

My companions both got pizzas and were underwhelmed, but at least they weren't starving when we left like I was.

Where do I begin. Let’s start by the facts. This food called to mind the type of food I would imagine being created by a chef that lost all of his or her senses. Most especially the sense of taste. Paid 14 for a small chicken wrap with inedible, flavorless kale as the side. See attached photo. The wrap itself was so lacking in any basic seasoning that I could not eat it at all. I mean it tasted like what you feed to someone that has no options. This was hands down the worst wrap I have had, ever!!! I did not realize that true food meant boring and tasteless. Clearly my bad. If you enjoy sipping tequila sunrise or mocktails food his is your spot because clearly your taste buds died long ago. Healthy food should taste good not like mush, I mean seriously how did you get chicken to look and have a mouth feel of porridge? That is the trick. And I feel like I got tricked, out of my money. Avoid this place at all cost, do not believe the hype or the reviews saying it was amazing. The only thing amazing about this place and their food was me throwing it away, oh the napkins were cool though.

They forgot our 2 appetizers, no apologies, just asked if we wanted them now. We said no.. Burgers came well done, overdone, when we ordered it medium. Asked for burger with just cheese, came with no bread :) manager came by asking how is everything pretending he didn't know what was happening at our table. Gave us one free appetizer so our friend wasn't eating alone when burger finally came but they still charged us for half of the burger. We've gone to True Food in Ballston where service was great. The food is always good, when it came and when it was cooked correctly.

Drink: Ordered a watermelon mojito- when It came out it had no watermelon at all and tasted more like water than anything else. Asked for a new one but the second one was not that great either.
Appetizer- Ordered a side of shrimp to try but did not come with any cocktail sauce, lemon or anything. Shrimp also looked dirty.
No bread or finger food served while you wait.
We actually came here for lunch and waited almost one hour for our food to arrive. I had to go inside and ask where our food was- guess maybe their forgot?
Main dish- complete disaster. Ordered the seasonal sea bass. It tasted like a fish that had been in a freezer for months and just reheated. Super fishy taste ( not in a good way) extelremely chewy and honestly it looked and tasted awful. Worst fish I have ever had. For a $30 price tag for the dish I would expect much better. Should have gone to passion fish instead.
Will not return. Do not recommend. Over priced and the food and drinks are not good at all.
