I've just purchased my new Top Fuel 9.7 from Trek Coburg - thanks largely to the great customer service delivered by Cristian and his team - shout out to Kate!
It began in the week leading into Xmas when I was comparing 3 different bike options from 3 manufacturers. I'd had a test ride on one bike and called Trek to see if it was possible to test ride the Top Fuel. They offered to build up the one they had in stock and let me ride it which was great - particularly in the busy Xmas period.
I went away for 2 weeks and continued my research, called Cristian again in the New Year to see if I could try the Top Fuel again and learned they had sold it. But Cristian offered to find another one, bring it over to Coburg, build it up and let me take it out on a proper trail for a proper test. This was the kicker for me. Riding the bike in it's element and with faith that Cristian wasn't putting any pressure on me to purchase. He kept saying "we just want you to find the right bike for you."
So he probably wasn't surprised when I called a few days later to say 'I'll take it !' And I'm very glad I did. My first couple of rides have been fantastic.
Cristian had also commented a couple of times about building a local culture around the Coburg store and what I witnessed during my visits really shows the value of this for everyone involved. Coburg have a large customer base of families and the team pay great attention, are thoughtful and skilled at making riders of all ages, understandings and abilities feel welcome and excited about their cycling adventures.
Well done Cristian and team - I look forward to being a frequent visitor. (especially if you get the bikes and beers gig happening ;)
