I looked carefully at all the training options (classroom and online) and chose this company because they not only provided comprehensive training, but because their practice exams are laid out like the real ones. I studied about 2-4 hours a day for a month using this system (video presentations show you where to highlight your books, audio CDs for the car, and the practice tests). I also made flash cards for each question.
Will this guarantee that you pass the test? No, but it will enable you to confidently answer about half of the 95 questions on the first pass of the exam questions, saving you time to go back to the more time-intensive questions (the blueprint questions, then the math questions, and then the obscure OSHA questions which are hard to find).
After scoring 92-96% on 4 practice tests in a row early this week, I scheduled a test for the Wednesday (Feb 1) and -- after using every minute of the 3.5 hour test -- PASSED!
One other thing: when I ordered the course, I wasn't sure that the permanent tabs were worth the money and time putting them in the books, but I got them anyway. I'd say the tabs in the NC Residential Code books really helped me find the answers to the high wind and coastal questions more quickly. If you don't get the tabs from them, I would suggest that you make your own tabs for the books you take into the exam (in NC, you are allowed just 4 books - code stuff and business/law).
Good luck and there's no better moment than to see the result you are hoping for.
