On Wednesday 25 June, Mount Carmel held their first-ever Showcase! That night, students from Years 9, 10, and 12 Music classes were able to share their passion and gifts to the wider College community through their sensational performances. We express immense gratitude for the teachers, Mr Follett, Mrs Mulholland, Mrs Abra, Mrs Maiuolo, Mr Daniels, Mrs Borg and Mrs Giles for their dedication to making this vision come to life. This is extended to those teachers who worked alongside them, providing them with tireless support. This would not have been possible without these teachers' hard work and encouragement. Students were able to learn and grow from this experience, encouraging aspiring students to be confident in their abilities and providing an opportunity to grow in the performing arts. We thank the staff and parents who attended and provided an audience for these wonderful students to share their skills.

On Thursday, Year 12 were visited by Bishop Brian Mascord where students had the opportunity to ask the Bishop any questions that they may wish to ask him. The SRC also had the privilege to chat with Bishop Brian about the legacy they hope to leave and what they will take with them from Mount Carmel when they graduate in a few short months.

Our final College carnival of the year was the College Athletics Carnival, held on June 19. Over 850 students, staff, parents, and guardians gathered at Campbelltown Athletics Stadium to celebrate this fantastic event. The talent on display across track and field events was exceptional, resulting in a highly competitive Diocesan team being selected to represent Mount Carmel. There were many standout performances throughout the day, with our age champions excelling in multiple events who will be unveiled early next term. The competition among the houses was intense, with only 100 points separating the top three. Who will win? Stay tuned to find out!
