Every Wednesday, these amazing students have given up their time to teach primary school kids at St Andrews Public School and Robert Townson Public School about the Catholic faith. It’s a big responsibility, but our student catechists embrace it with enthusiasm and heart. For their exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to passing on the faith, we had the great honour of presenting them with a Bishop's Citation in our College Assembly today. They truly embody the Carmelite calling to serve, acting as shining examples of faith in action.

Avila Day 2025 was a great success and was immensely enjoyed by all those taking part! A huge thanks to everyone who participated, especially to our Art students who gave up their entire lunch to offer portrait sketches. The quality of their work made the day's event extremely enjoyable and it was great to see so many students lining up to get their picture illustrated. With choc tops being sold, music being played and many pictures being drawn, the community spirit was certainly alive on what was a very warm, but very fun and vibrant Avila Day at Mount Carmel.
