HISTORY PAPER CRAFT CHALLENGE | Year 8 History have been studying the amazing history of the Angkor Empire in Cambodia. They have looked at the temples of Angkor Wat and had the opportunity to create their own. Students did an amazing job creating their own. It was a wonderful way to finish off their study of an incredible legacy.

FRENCH DAY | On 23rd November, all the French language students had the chance to experience various aspects of French culture. A food-truck specialised in making ‘crêpes’ came to the school and offered a demonstration of the crêpes maker. The students were able to order their food and drinks in French and savoured a taste of France. An accordion and singer performer was also present. She sang famous French songs and offered a very authentic atmosphere to the day. The students were very engaged to all the activities throughout the day including petanque, French trivia and board games. Their enthusiasm and engagement in the day was outstanding and it all contributed to a very successful French Day « à la française ».

YOUTH FESTIVAL | Four members of the Interact Club from St Mary’s attended the Rotary-sponsored Youth Festival. Their mission? To delve into the concerns of our local youth, brainstorm possible steps to resolve them, and ignite hope for all. Exploring the issues that matter, these girls showcased the true spirit of leadership and community engagement. They've not only left an impact on the festival but have also become wonderful representatives of our College!
