AUSTRALIAN POOL RESCUE | Year 10 student, Stephanie Staniforth, was selected to compete at the 2023 National and Interstate Pool Rescue Championships held at South Port Aquatic Centre QLD with the NSW interstate team. She has returned home with an Australian Silver Medal for her individual 100m tow event & Silver interstate medal as the NSW team placed second overall at the Championships. The event tests Australia’s most skilled swimmers and showcases a variety of skills. The Australian Pool Rescue Championships are also one of the key qualifying events for our National lifesaving teams. It is also an opportunity for elite lifesavers to display the skills that keep them rescue ready for the start of the Surf Life Saving patrol season.
