On Friday September 1st, the Cullman Police Department celebrated the retirement of Lieutenant Mick Harbison. Lieutenant Harbison served nearly 30 years with the department, most recently as the School Resource Officer Lieutenant. Thank you Lieutenant Harbison for your service to the department!

The Cullman Police Department would like to congratulate Lt. Todd Craig and Sgt. Joey Duncan for being recipients of the Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) Trilogy Award! Lt. Craig and Sgt. Duncan recently completed the last of three courses in the FBI LEEDA Trilogy Series: the Supervisor Leadership Institute (SLI), the Command Leadership Institute (CLI), and the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI). The Cullman Police Department is committed to pursuing excellence and striving to gain and improve the skills necessary to best serve our community! Congrats, Lt. Craig and Sgt. Duncan!

Today, Citizens Bank and Trust dropped off some donuts and gifts for our newest officers as they start the beginning of their 14-weeks of field training. Thank you, Citizens Bank and Trust, for all your support!

The Cullman Police Department is so proud of these individuals. These seven officers, Olivia Ball, Addison Allred, Caleb Lambert, Anthony Hickman Jr., Justin Turner, Daniel Palisay and Jeffrey David, graduated from the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy today. These Officers not only attended the academy, but they went above and beyond. Several served as leaders throughout the academy and for the the first time in the history of the Cullman Police Department, our own Justin Turner won the directors award, which is the highest honor a cadet can achieve. Officer Turner also received the Top Gun award which makes two consecutive sessions that a CPD officer has won this award. Congratulations to all of you!

On Tuesday, July 25, R.E. Garrison hosted a first responders appreciation cook out. They have always been a huge supporter of the military and first responders. William Joseph Vinson JR 20yr old from Harvest, AL Zachary Scott Taylor 21yrs old from Athens, AL Chance Marcus Alan Starling 20yrs old Toney, AL We would like to commend Sgt Trey Higginbotham for all his hard work on this case.
