NAIDOC WEEK AT MAMRE ANGLICAN SCHOOL
Last week, Pre-K to Year 12 came together and participated in a series of activities for our annual NAIDOC Celebration Day. Students rotated through a variety of experiences that honoured and explored First Nations traditions, including Bush Tucker tasting, damper making, a Rainbow Serpent chalk mural, traditional games, bush walking, and much more.
In line with this year’s NAIDOC theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision, and Legacy”, our students embraced the opportunity to learn from the past and celebrate the rich cultures and knowledge of First Nations peoples. It was a powerful day of connection, learning, and appreciation. 💛🖤❤️

Students had the opportunity to work-shop alongside industry experts as they explored innovative ideas to help shape a more sustainable and liveable future for our local area. Our students used design thinking to generate ideas for the future of our local area and the future of education. 🌏
This launch event sets the stage for the upcoming “Field Day to Sydney Science Park", which will be held next to the site of our new campus.

MAMRE CADETS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Our Mamre Rural Fire Cadets recently took part in a two-day camp with the RFS, gaining hands-on experience in real-time fire operations and team-based simulations.
They then shared what they’d learnt with our Junior School, leading fun, hands-on activities for Pre-K to Year 2 — from rolling hoses and exploring a fire truck to helping the little ones operate real hoses!
It was a fantastic display of leadership, teamwork, and community spirit. Well done to our amazing cadets! 👨🚒👏
