SYDNEY FC FIRST XI CUP // Congratulations to our Open Boys footballers who were Quarter Finalists in the Sydney FC First XI Cup today. Over the last two days the team played games against Cranebrook, St Pius X, St Aloysius and Knox, earning their place in this afternoon’s QF, where they went down 2-1 in an heroic match against Moriah College. Well done boys on your stirling efforts representing our school. #mamrelearning

CROSS COUNTRY // After the wild weather of last weekend, yesterday was a picture perfect day for our annual Cross Country Carnival. Students enjoyed running the course through our own bushland and around the school grounds. Like all good cross country courses, there was some mud, but most competitors managed to stay clean. #mamrelearning

GRANDPARENTS DAY // Yesterday over 500 grandparents and special guests visited Mamre as part of our annual Grandparents Day. After being greeted by our RFS Cadets, our visitors attended our Easter Chapel service where student and staff performances helped us to worship God and hear about the Good News of God's love for us celebrated at Easter. Junior School classes opened their doors to showcase their learning, before sharing morning tea with their families in our spacious grounds and visiting the Book Fair in the Library. Finally, the Easter Hat Parade in The Stadium capped off a wonderful day of community celebration. #mamrelearning

HARMONY AND COMMUNITY // Harmony Day at Mamre this week was a wonderful example of the strength of our community. We celebrated both our diversity in its many forms and our unity in Christ. Senior School connect groups from Years 7 to 12 spent time with all Junior School classes sharing in multiple activities, including chatting to get to know each other, decorating our "sea of hands" and playing outdoor games together. Smiles abounded from the younger children as they looked up to the older students, while the smiles of the older students demonstrated their interest and care for their younger peers. Everyone belongs! #mamrelearning
