My husband and I just had the most glorious, relaxing week at the Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. Initially we were a bit unsure about booking here as the boat ride out is quite long on the public ferry and unfortunately a helicopter wasn’t in the budget! As it turned out it, we got transfers on the resort boat included as part of our deal booking with the hotel directly. So the trip out from Nadi ended up being a very pleasant 2 1/2hr boat ride with a stop in the middle at Paradise Cove. The beach at the BLBR has to be one of the most pristine in Fiji with fine white sand and crystal clear water. Watching sunsets from the beach with cocktail in hand was truly a magical way to spend every evening!! The snorkelling straight off the beach is next level with so many different fish species and in abundance! I even saw a turtle! Many guests went on snorkelling and dive trips but honestly you get so much right at the beach we were happy to stay put. We ate mostly at the Japanese restaurant - it is one of two restaurants at the resort to choose from as part of the inclusive food plan. The Japanese food is meticulously presented and made with many local ingredients. Loved it!! We stayed in a garden villa which was air conditioned, very comfortable and immaculately clean. The very private outdoor bathroom was such a great surprise! Such a unique feature you are literally looking at the stars while showering or using the loo!! Haha so cool. A shout out to the gardeners also - the resort gardens are beautiful with so many stunning tropical plants. Thank you to the amazing resort staff who were so friendly and welcoming, we were on first name basis with many of them by the time we left. If you want a super relaxing Fijian paradise holiday without the 5-star cost, then this is a great choice. There is no doubt we will be back again :)

Absolutely love Blue Lagoon! Majority of the workers were very friendly and welcoming. There are options for entertainment or you can just relax the whole time. For most part food was good. Was not a fan of Donu; wasn’t much of a Japanese flair, but the chefs get creative with what they have. Would definitely recommend and will return.
