OK, I really cant say enough good things about Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. We stayed her on the last leg of our two week Fiji trip and it was by far the best. more laid back than other places we stayed, super friendly people (both staff and guests) and truly exceptional food. We stayed at other larger resorts on this trip and were totally over the buffet food. So when we arrived at Blue Lagoon and found that the inclusive meals were made to order, I was so pleased. and I was even more please that it was all SUPERB quality. Every meal I had was excellent and the Omikase dinner at Donu is not to be missed. They took great care of my kids picky eating habits too. Our family doesn't have dietary restrictions, but the staff asked frequently if I needed any accommodations for our meals. To be fair, I'm sure they remembered after the first time, but they always asked just to be sure.
The staff is amazing. Truly a wonderful representation of Fijian warmth and care. Loata who runs the kids club was caring and engaged my daughters in things that interested them. They weren't fans of kids club in other hotels, but loved Loata and the kids club at Blue Lagoon. Tam lead our village tour as well as a lesson on palm weaving as well as coconut husking/opening/shredding and was a wonderful guide and instructor. Kylie and Chris who manage the resort are kind and thoughtful and truly dedicated.
We were able to visit the nearby village and we brought lots of school supplies with us to donate. We snorkeled, swam, went on a cave tour, paddleboarded, played on the inflatable, relaxed and snorkeled some more. Our kids met new friends and played all kinds of made up games. They would sneak out of our room in the morning to go play giant chess :)
I could go open and on about how much I loved this trip and this resort, but ultimately Blue Lagoon Beach Resort makes the list of places I would visit again. It's a high bar for me as a new country/place has to be truly compelling in order from to want to go back. Coming from the US, it's a longer trip for us (10 hours direct from SFO to Nadi and then the boat ride out to the islands) but well worth the extra time to get to Blue Lagoon Beach Resort.
