We are just back from a trip to Fiji.
7 nights in the blue lagoon beach resort.
I have nothing bad to say about Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, we booked a garden villa for 2 adults (19&21) and we loved it! There was lots of young people at our resort (not as much families until last few days but we went before peak school holidays) but it’s definitely family friendly as there are 2 pools, a kids club and of course many activities!! Free snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding everyday.
Drinks aren’t included but we had paid at the end and it was about 1500 Fijian dollars which converts back to 1100 NZD for 2 adults who drank (a lot) of alcohol! Bring snacks if you have kids ( or get hungry often) as they aren’t included with meal package and we found ourselves quite hungry- there are crisps and chocolate but of extra charge.
All days were sunny and we went into the village while it rained and it was good to see how the Fijians live. Take cash!!! We had none and the ladies were selling stuff and we had felt bad as we couldn’t provide cash for the markets!
As far as staff they will go above and beyond for anything you want or extras you need for the room (shampoo etc) rooms cleaned everyday and meal times you get well fed. We would definitely go back it was an amazing experience both culturally and physically.
