I do not recommend them! Deeply disappointed at Goddard About 2 years ago our 8 years old dog became dehydrated and she fainted. I took her to the emergency and straight away she recovered. After this event we took her to a regular check up in Goddard and they diagnosed her with grade 3 of heart murmur and told us she needs to get a ultrasound straight away. We booked the ultrasound and they told us she got a grade 3 murmur and a heart disease with no more explanation. Since then they told me I need to give her twice a day half of the medication Vet Medin and I have been giving her for 2 years now. We stopped taking her for long walks as her heart rate was very high and also almost every day she felt really bad and stomach problems at home and always had something going on as in like she feels really bad all the time and very anxious with her head low and suffering from something, dur to so many problems I took her almost every single month for check ups and sometimes even more. A couple of month ago I went for a walk with her and she had a blood in her stool, a lot came like a jelly blood - i called Goddard and they told me to put a bandaid on her butt - which is ridiculous. that night i took her to the emergency in a different vet (not Goddard) and they said she is totally fine and had no problems in her blood samples. But! Her heart murmur is strong grade 4 or even close to 5 - I was shocked and they told me I need to do an ultrasound again as it is very bad. Obviously I went and booked the ultrasound straight away, we had the appointment for the ultrasound at a specialist which I would recommend massively - they did an ultrasound, took pictures of the heart and they said there was a little bit of the murmur but it is not required to take any medication... Basically she got a heart murmur stage B1 which is a potential for a heart disease but not yet developed and she Does NOT need ANY medication whatsoever. I felt really bad poisoning her all this time with heart disease medication which made her worse. The bottom line is - THEY ARE TRYING TO PUSH YOU TO BUY THESE MEDICATION FOR SALES REASONS. (This is what the specialist told me) and a lot of patients been given those medication and they don't really need it. Since I stopped giving her the Vet Medin she is feeling amazing everyday. Her strong heart beat disappeared, no stomach problems, no low head and anxiety. She is a different dog. Please go to a specialist and a vet you trust, because no one really cares about your pet as you do. Don't trust their pretty smiles and words When it comes to your loved ones you should be careful and also on your wallet as i had to use my insurance too many times because of them. I hope i can save other people and pets by writing this comment.

My doggo got stung by a wasp in the middle of the night (odd enough) I've called the clinic to seek their advice. They asked me to send them pictures of Bowie immidiantely. I consulted them back over the phone, they have given me full advice what to do what to look for. I could not be more happy. They didn't have to do that but they were happy to help. I couldn't be more grateful. Many thanks to Mali nad Nathalie on duty - you are ANGELS!

I booked a physiotherapy appointment for my dog which Goddard's, Mandeville Road, Northolt only hold on a Wednesday afternoon. I explained when I made the appointment I could only do 4.30pm to 6.20pm due to work commitments - the physio booked me 4.45pm. The day before my dogs appointment, a receptionist called me to see if I could come in earlier. I explained I'd already said I could only make 4.30pm at the earliest, so he said it would be left as 5pm - I said, "You mean 4.45pm?" He confirmed that was correct. Later that day I had a message asking me to contact the reception team. I ended up speaking to the physiotherapist directly as I couldn't get hold of the person who could help me on reception. The physio said she only works consecutively so if I couldn't come in earlier she'd need to cancel me. She offered me another appointment a week later, but what if the same thing happened & they'd need to cancel again as I can't get in any earlier than 4.30pm on a Wednesday?! I don't think it's good enough to cancel on me for the reasons stated & not be able to offer me an appointment for a whole week. If they did daily physio appointments it wouldn't be as bad. I'd actually changed my work schedule to accommodate the appointment as Wednesdays aren't a good day for me to take time off, but flexibility, it seems, isn't a strength of the physio side of Goddard's, Mandeville Road, Northolt so I'm now left looking for another physio who has more appointments to offer on more than one day a week, even though Goodard's has been my vet for the past five years or so. The above review was written in 2016. Now in 2019 I am updating my review. I had cause to officially complain to Goddards Mandeville in February when a senior vet didn't want to cut my dog's black claws. Stan at Goddards Eastcote did with care, but since he left some five years ago no one was willing; this meant her claws & quicks were so long they were tripping her up on average 10 times in one hour. Even though I explained this, the senior vet gave me umpteen reasons why they were fine. I argued they were hardly fine if they were tripping her up so badly that she was falling down onto her elbows. With no other solution offered, the vet reluctantly clipped my 12 year olds nails, but I stopped it after three legs as he was so rough. I was in shock at the disrespect he had shown my dog & felt very upset. Another vet clipped her claws after this & the tripping completely stopped! On top of the above, I find the reception team very unorganised unless one person sees a task through from start to finish. I was given medication in October that was correct; it was just labelled for someone else! I had to return this & make another trip to collect the correctly labelled medication. It turns out it was mine all along; it had just been labelled incorrectly! When I booked my dog in for her six monthly health check, I informed the receptionist that I'd changed my phone number. When I came in for the health check, I wasn't given my six monthly supply of flea & worming. I emailed & asked them to post this as my dogs flea treatment was due the following day. I was off to Ireland, but my nephew who was looking after my girl said he'd apply it. I had an email nearly a week later apologising for the delay in response to my email & explaining Goddards had no worming tablets so would need to order them. I replied & said I needed the flea treatment, but didn't need the worming tablets for a month. I had an email back saying the flea & worming would be posted the following day. I then had another email saying they didn't know if I wanted the medication I get for my dogs hip dysplasia posted to, & they'd tried to call, but the number was dead. I resent the email conversation that clearly explained everything if they'd bothered to read it in the first place. 11 days later I am still waiting for the flea & worming treatment! My phone number was never changed, despite the receptionist telling me she'd changed it!! To say I am exasperated is an understatement - I'm changing vets.

I had to drop my dog off here last week in an emergency. Before we left our vets, they called and said we were an urgent case. My dog’s blood sugar levels had been dropping dangerously low and they didn’t know why. We waited for over an hour while people who arrived after us were taken in, and my dog was getting more distressed in the car. I called 3 times from the driveway but still no one came until over an hour later. When I signed the paperwork, the vet who took my dog told me that it would be Maximum £400 if they managed to get bloods and If they didn’t then less. He also said they would call me with an update and maybe to collect around 10am the next morning but they would let me know. I believe my dog was so distressed and low by this point that they were unable to get bloods and he had to be monitored on all night. At no point did anyone call to update me as promised. The next call I received was at 8am the next morning demanding I picked him up ASAP and was I on my way?! They gave me little to no information of what had been done and my vets do not seem to have any handover notes. Now I have received an invoice for £431.78 which has no detail of what I’m paying for. I have requested a detailed breakdown of treatment and met with an inadequate and vague response. “I have checked your file, and what I could see is that those £431.78 are from the consult done the 8/7/20. They probably gave you an estimate of £400 which can sometimes be a little be more at the end of treatment.” That is not a detailed breakdown! Don’t they know what treatment they issued? They certainly didn’t do what they were asked. This is awful and I’m assuming they’re used to being able to rip off insurance companies like this. I’m not an insurance company. I adopted this dog 6 weeks ago quite sick after his owner passed away so he wouldn’t go to a home or be put down and I am paying cash. So I would like to know what I’m paying for. I think that’s only fair. Honestly I’m so upset with how they’ve treated us and spoken to us on the phone. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I recommend this practice. They are honest and transparent with their charges. I took my dog tonight out of hours and both the vet and the nurse were professional and above all caring

I was shocked when I went online to check the prices for the Thyforon (£1.03 for ten and Goddard charged me £13.57 for 14 tablets) and Drontal Dog Bone Tab (£1.68 per unit compared to Goddards price £5.17) - I actually find this type of profiteering on essential medication not only extortionate but unethical and I feel strongly that vets and staff should be obliged to inform pet owners that medications, particularly for animals with chronic illness, can be sourced at much more fair and affordable prices. I certainly was never made aware by the vet that I could get my dogs medicine at much cheaper rate..... where does this leave people who do not have access to the internet or knowledge of where to look? In response received a patronising email that in my opinion was an attempt to defend the indefensible. I have personal experience when I supported a friend that had no pet insurance and once his ability to pay up front had run they declined care and sent puppies away to die. Some excellent clinicians however Goddards are money driven and without doubt put profit before animal welfare.

never advised that vets have an ethical duty to treat an unowned stray for 24 hours FOC..before discussing any further payment treatment etc. I coughed up £400 for finding a 6 week old kitten in the middle of the road. They were unable to help her but still charged me £421.00 RCVS told me that I should not have been charged as they have the 24 hour window to work ethically and in line with the code of Vets. I was not made aware of this. My own practice in Ickenham is closed and Vet Kim oozes kindness so sorry Kim but the Northolt branch needs to learn lessons in empathy and kindness towards kindness it's money grabbing ways left me speechless.

Had 3 visits in a week for my cat and each time was delayed for over 30 minutes and the latest occasion was 1.15 hrs. The reception told me it was admin error, the vet said it was an emergency that came in. Just a shambles. They stitched the skin of my kitten under her jaw which had come away after a suspected car incident but two days later it the stitching came out. You would think they'd redo it free of charge or reduced fee but they then demanded another £220 payment to do the same shoddy job. Strongly advise you somewhere else to get a more professional and skilled care.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. My dog went in a few weeks ago as she had stopped eating and was suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. She was kept in for three days they did every single test imaginable and FAILED to recognise she has KIDNEY FAILURE. We took her to another fantastic vet yesterday for a consultation as she was not improving as quickly as we wanted to her to and they were able to carry out the necessary tests in fifteen minutes. Also, we were told that Goddard should have recognised this straight away as when they carried out the tests on the first day her kidney parameters showed kidney failure. However they failed once again like the time they diagnosed her with conjunctivitis when she actually had glaucoma and is now blind in one eye as a result of their incompetence. When I booked the appointment I had explained that I thought my dog had an upset stomach and the vet on the phone was trying to persuade us to take her eye out rather than the problem we reported!!! My dog is very nervous when she is away from us and when she was in the practice we were told that she was very settled. However that was a complete lie as once she was back home they said she was severely stressed which probably made matters worse. The phone calls are recorded too so if I get a response from them regarding this review and they try to accuse me of lying, I will be taking this further. They are mercenary crooks who convinced us they wanted to carry out all the tests they needed to give her a full diagnosis which was rubbish. They just wanted to run up the bill as we spent almost £2000 for no answer and the answer we needed only cost £135. If anyone loves truly loves their pets I would seriously reconsider registering your beloved animal at this practice as money is the motive with that lot. I have heard some seriously horrific stories from other people who had pets attend Goddard but I'm not going to share them here because it didn't personally happen to me. Thanks to them my dog is blind in one eye and will probably die before her time because they just didn't care enough. Cheers Goddard you've done a great job at failing to act accordingly once again.
