Highly recommend the surgery, had the best experience and the most professional approach. I brought my dog after hours for induced vomit after he accidentally ate some grapes. It took only 15 minutes for him to come out and he was on his best form by the morning. I am forever grateful for their expert treatment.

My cockapoo had to have surgery on a lump and they also neutered him at the same time, the vet Pheobe and her colleague went above and behind to make sure my baby was not anxious as he is always normally frighten and shaking when he has to go to the vets, they took the time to befriend him and then sedated him with me cuddling him to distract him, they also ask if there was anything else they could do for him when under sedation which was supper helpful, he had a bad ear so had a look and found a sticky seed stuck down it which had caused him to also have an infection in his ear, they had to use a instrument to remove it, this would’ve been impossible if he would’ve been awake as he wouldn’t of let anyone near it, so glad that they found that and was able to treat it and also they cut his nails as he also doesn’t like that either. I am so grateful that they were the ones to do his operation. These two lovely lady’s are defiantly angels and do the job because they care. Words can’t express how much care and attention they took to reassure me and my baby boy, I felt relaxed knowing he was in the best of hands.

Only giving 1star in order to write review! This practice should be avoided at all costs! I took my 2year old Rottweiler in after a few episodes of sickness, she was seen quickly & I was told they would “treat the symptoms not the cause” she was given 6 days of tablets & a sickness injection & returned home, 2 days after the tablets were completed she began being sick again & suffered haemorrhage diarrhoea, I took her straight back & was told she would need to be admitted at an estimated cost of £1600 of which I would need to pay 50% before leaving, later that day I was asked to come in to “discuss options” & was pretty much told that her condition was critical as were the next 12hours & then asked to pay some more off of the balance. The following day she had improved & I was told further tests showed pancreatitis & she needed further treatment, by Thursday the bill had risen to £4.6k & I was advised that she was on the mend with elevated kidney perimeters but as soon as she started to eat she could be discharged to enable us to administer medication from home. Friday morning I received a call to say they wanted her to come home even though had not eaten as she was becoming “aggressive” By Saturday she had still not eaten (5days!) & couldn’t take medication so they advised readmission after clearing balance £2.2k! She was readmitted & another vet looking at the same blood results from Thursday said “she’s in renal failure & if she survives next 24 hours it’s unlikely she’ll survive for more than 2 months. 5 hours after readmission they had put her in a crate had not put in the IV as promised & I was told by Zoe that by me calling while them dealing with an emergency I was “killing another dog” by which time I had sort a 2nd opinion & removed her from Mandeville at 11pm after being told again by Zoe “they’ll call the police as I’m stealing the dog because of o/s balance, we took the dog to another vet, who has confirmed NOT in renal failure & has autoimmune disorder which is treatable & common in dogs her age & she’ll make full recovery! I know that’s a lot of information but please read as they were guiding towards euthanasia. I can’t stress enough these are solely in it for the money The 2nd part of this review is written 7 months on, despite our initial expectation of a full recovery, sadly our girl did not survive, she passed away in theatre whilst the wonderful 2nd opinion vet did all they could to save her after further tests showed she was sufferings from peritonitis. When Goddard's finally sent the medical history through (24 hours after death!) they had suspected this condition on 31st January, yet they failed to disclose this information upon admission. I have spoken to RCVS & made a complaint of negligence / misconduct & unfortunately as the threshold for misconduct is high we were unsuccessful, I have spoken to the mediation service in order to draw the situation to a close, however Goddard's stand firm that they treated her properly & will now pursue any monies owed through a debt collection agency if not paid within 14days. I have waited 7 months before posting an update on this review as I have been fighting this through both RCVS & VCMS and have given Goddard's every opportunity to do the right thing and acknowledge their shortcomings, disappointingly they refuse to do so. I urge anyone who considers visiting this practice to avoid it at all costs, they sent our girl home to die & yet still continue to pursue us for money. Please find another practice, do NOT entrust your pet with them

I would strongly recommend you don't bring your pet to this "hospital". I took my cat in 4 times and despite them knowing he had a history of kidney problems they were unable to diagnose that his kidneys were failing until the final visit when he had to be put to sleep. The first 3 visits he received very little treatment and what he was given was for conditions that ultimately weren't what was making him sick. I spent £2,000 across these 4 visits and feel that you should expect a higher level for service for this type of money. I raised a complaint about this and the complaint process is an absolute joke. It made me laugh when I saw people had similar complaints to mine on Google and they said to email them. They were unwilling to admit fault even though they missed an obvious diagnosis. I had a long call with the head vet to discuss this. He claims there were other possible explanations for my cat's condition and he had other health issues, which is why the kidney failure wasn't diagnosed. I'm sorry, but if a cat has a history of kidney problems then the solution is staring you in the face. He was happy with the care my cat was given and couldn't offer a reduced bill. I came to the conclusion that they care more about money than the health of your pet.

Sadly last year I lost my mum, her dog was taken to Goddard by neighbours, the staff were lovely, unfortunately Chelsea has to be put down due to health complications, the team were really kind and supportive at the sad time , couple months later even sent a card of condolences. Really grateful that such a nice team Of people go the extra mile made a huge impact on me. Keep up the good work guys!

I took my cat here after hours because it appeared he had ingested something poisonous and was foaming at the mouth. They took my cat in straight away then began taking my details. After taking my details she gave me a bill of £1600 (at this point they only sedated my cat and inserted a tube) I queried as to why it was so high and that I could not afford it. I paid a £300 deposit. Before querying the bill they advised me that the cat is breathing normal and that they are just trying to remove the blood from his passage. After expressing that I would not be able to afford £1600 I get a call to say my beautiful Persian had died. My instincts tell me they didn’t bother trying to save my cat because it meant they wouldn’t make maximum profits. After calling to say my cat had died she told me I had to go in and settle the bill. I am heartbroken and would strongly advise avoiding this place as much as you can.
