I can not recommend this vets practice enough. Rory on reception, who has exceptional people and animal skills is outstanding and ensures both pets and owners are made to feel welcome, he is a credit to this practice. Also Abbie and Alonzo are in my opinion, the best Vets in the country. I would go as far to say they are magical as they have saved my dogs life on more than one occasion and the passion they have for animals to ensure they get first class treatment is outstanding. I highly recommend this practice and all of the staff who work there.

Awful service and treatment! Evidence of one of their customers having abused their cat was sent to this vets, and when it was taken in by its owners and eventhough it was clearly neglected. Im talking maggot infested and had been scalded with hot oil! And instead of letting a good samaritan pay for the vets bills and adopt it to save it, they allowed to owners to euthanize it to get rid of the evidence! Absolute disgraceful service. PLEASE READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. They are not exaggerating, and you will see euthanasia being pushed, strays being "lost" (also euthanized more than likely) and unnecessary treatments being advised! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Called Goddards/Mandeville hospital for advice regarding an injured stray cat. They were very helpful and reassuring, and squeezed him in to be seen when I explained my concerns. Staff were very professional and upfront from the start regarding costs and my options. I felt listened to and that they genuinely cared. Would definitely recommend.

I took my dog Teddy here instead of our usual vets as an emergency case. The staff were all really helpful and happy to communicate with us. Sadly they weren’t able to save Teddy but they did everything they could and I can’t thank them enough. They gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes and were really respectful. We received a condolences card a few days later which was a lovely touch. Many thanks to the whole team!

Obviously I never like taking my dog to the vets but this practice has saved my dog's life twice so it deserves a good rating.

Initially I called the practice by phone, my enquiry about an appointment for my dog was handled by Kalem. His telephone manner was both friendly and professionalas he informed me that the practice had had a number of vets missing from that days rooster which meant the reception and office staff would be juggling the established appointments to ensure continued service. There was very little chance of Kip getting to see a vet. Kalem took ownership of my request and after explaining the situation we agreed that he should call back to let me know if he could get Kip, my dog, in within the week. Not only did Kalen call back as promised, he had managed to fit Kip in that very day. On arrival we were seen promptly and my dogs illness diagnosed and treatment prescribed; all because Kalem went above and beyond and carried out his responsibilities with alacrity. He recognised that I was very worried and really couldn't wait another day let alone a whole week. God knows how he managed to secure is a slot but he did it. An absolute hero and a credit to your team. At last, a reception staff that seem to care for their customers and want to do everything they can to help. Today it was Kalem, tomorrow it might be another member of your team, whomever it is; thanks to Kalem's actions today, I can have total faith that they will do their very best to accommodate my request; and should they be unable to, it won't be for lack of effort on their part. Goodard Veterinary Group, you should be congratulated for having such an excellent dedicated man such as Kalem on your team. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Obviously, no-one enjoys taking their pet to the vets, but this surgery makes you feel at ease. The receptionists are friendly, the waiting room has separate cat waiting and dog waiting areas, which is a fantastic idea! I visited with my cat and the cat area has blankets to cover baskets if required and feliway spray too, all to help calm your feline friend. I was seen by Phoebe Parnian and I have to say, she has a very, very special way about her. She was friendly, knowledgeable, non judgemental and reassuring. In fact, one of the nicest vets I've seen, and I've seen a fair few over the years. My moggy thought the same too, so thank you Phoebe!
