After searching online for a company that could digitize 8 MM film, and slides, that my father took of us as a family in the 1950’s-1960’s, I found EVERPRESENT. Their website is thorough, professional, easy to read, and understand. On the phone, they were friendly, answered all of my questions, and followed up the conversation with an email, providing me with pertinent information relating to my project.
It was easy for me to drive to their location, drop off the slides and film, and then after a few days, speak to a consultant about the project, get an estimate, and move forward. Emails were sent to me weekly, mentioning the progress that was being made on digitizing my materials. Once my order had ‘officially passed their rigorous quality control process,’ I was notified that I would have 60 days to access the EVERPRESENT app, to view and download the slides and film.
All along the way, this experience was a positive one. The results of the project were what I had envisioned. I submitted the project in September; it was finished in October, ahead of the estimated time. And I have already shared the digitized film and slides with my brother and sister, as a gift, for Thanksgiving.
I am happy that I was able to find a company, locally, that I could leave my precious slides and film with. I will definitely come back to EVERPRESENT in the spring to turn in more film to be digitized. Beyond working with highly professional, and friendly people, the best part was that the price of the project came in under what was estimated. This was a winning situation all the way around. I highly recommend that you go to the EVERPRESENT website to do your own research, and then give them a call. I am so happy that they were able to preserve the family memories (slides and film) that I had been holding on to for thirty-six years.
