Excellent immediate service for my pet, he was treated soon after I called. The vet was so helpful and made me feel really reassured by the situation, highly recommend!

Absolutely impossible to get a hold of. Waited for nearly an hour to speak to a receptionist; was the "first person in the phone queue" for over 30 minutes. Reached a person, only to be told that they had received my email from the morning and that everything had been taken care of. Could you not have replied to the email, saying "Received"?! I live a 30 minute drive from the clinic. It would have literally been faster for me to get in a car and go to the clinic and deal with the issue in person.

Impossible to make appointment over the phone as no-one answers it even waiting for more than an hour!! Ended up driving to book one and this hasn’t happened once but twice…

I came in today with Bella, and spoke to a lovely consultant named Shaun, he helped put my mind at easy with my dog and was so helpful and giving me the full facts and telling me everything I needed to know! The entire staff at Wanstead have been nothing but absolutely lovely. Very happy with the service and I’ll be coming back just to see them!

Goddard as an animal hospital exploits its customers for money. I once took my cat in for emergency and had an appointment for 7pm. We weren't seen till after 10pm, did you know that after 10pm they will automatically charge you £40 and bill you this extra money for absolutely no reason? Because they do this and god knows who enforces and encourages such exploitative policies, it's disgusting!!! They make us wait for hours to bill us AN EXTRA £40. I emailed and phoned them regarding an injury my cat sustained, the Irish male receptionist TOOK AN HOUR to call me back and said that 'it isn't serious we (the vet) can't see anything wrong'. Guess what? My cat had an infected wound which could have spread. Receptionists sometimes leave the desk for over an hour unattended. There are customers who are worried about their pet and it's honestly not a good atmosphere where their receptionists who work in the evening are very unprofessional and loud. Some of those pets are in pain and don't need a loud environment especially from staff! At one time I was finished with an appointment and there was nowhere for me and my cat to sit. It would be nice if they had more cat seating areas considering the dog area has an extra space. I took my cat outside because the noise was unbearable. A vet or nurse then came out and said it is 'distressing' for my cat to be outside because of the noise of the cars. No it isn't because we are not on an open road. Either way if you care so much, make the waiting area quiet so I can sit with my cat. A receptionist also told me to 'lock my cat up for 3 days in the bathroom' because he isn't litter trained. Honestly, I was appalled, some of them clearly have never owned a pet so they are more than happy to recommend abusive ways. A dog also peed blood on the floor and the pet owner was crying someone came to triage and said "I know it looks bad but it honestly isn't." Her dog was vomiting and bleeding. They made her wait over an hour to see a vet.

First and foremost, the exorbitant prices charged for their services were nothing short of taking advantage of vulnerable pet owners. I felt like I was being fleeced at every turn, and it was clear that money was their primary concern. A simple out-of-hours visit and two blood tests resulted in a bill exceeding £600. This blatant exploitation only further solidified my impression that they cared more about their bottom line than the animals they were supposed to be helping. The final straw was when one of the blood tests failed to yield accurate results (I could bet that it was not taken properly). This test was critical in determining whether my cat had ingested a poisonous substance. I had to seek the assistance of my local vet the very next day to conduct the test properly (at least free of charge). Had my pet been suffering from poisoning, the delay caused by this failed test could have resulted in irreversible damage to her kidneys. Additionally, the hospital proposed an exorbitant fee of £2000 for a mere three days of treatment (my guess would be drip sessions). It's outrageous how they attempted to exploit my desperation to care for my beloved pet. She has recovered on her own in the next 3 days. I gave 2 stars as staff was polite and available at.. well Sunday 23:55 (hence extra price). I would not be surprised that they love animals, but have high price targets to hit and they heavily rely on insurance companies to cover the costs. Felt a bit like a healthcare in the US. First thing you are asked if you are insured. Btw. The insurance is not yet sorted and it has been weeks, but I think this is just misinformation between branches.

Been to this useless vet emergency hospital . Trying to get copy of results which has been made on 6.08.23 but this wasn’t possible as there was no chance to see nurse in charge or vet . Every time we asking to speak to someone not to the receptionist - there is always answer - NO it’s not possible now . We will contact you . It’s ridiculously expensive and still not positive to obtain the actual result which I want to know . I don’t understand why I can’t get this results if they been paid ! Very frustrating.

We booked our dog in to see the vet as for various reasons, he needed a general health check. All went fine. A few days later we needed the name of the vet for insurance purposes. Phoned Goddards to confirm, only for the receptionist to say 'oh, well you didn't see a vet, you saw a nurse'. My issue here is that if you are told you are seeing a vet, and pay for a vets appointment, you should see a vet. Misleading customers is unacceptable, and I am unclear if a nurse has the appropriate experience and knowledge - certainly they do not have the training of a vet. The nurse was fine, and we have previously had good experiences at Goddards, but I do not appreciate being mislead.
