Awful experience. My 3 year old Chihuahua had fluid on his stomach and I took him in to the vets. Receptionist was rude, the care was subpar and didn't do any tests but recommended a scan a full week later with blood tests and sample of the fluid to be taken then. I took him somewhere else a few days later and straight away had tests and scans and he ended up in a specialist hospital where he would sadly die.
I sent a complaint. Over 2 weeks later I got a response and the details in it felt very gaslighting with inaccurate facts about what happened. Saying they offered to take blood tests and a sample of the fluid the day I brought my dog in, and that I was happy to have it the following week with the scan. I was never offered the blood test and fluid sample on the day I was there.
They also stated that they suggested to keep him overnight to monitor him and that "I was concerned my dog would be stressed" - None of this happened.
I've replied to the complaint and have been told it may take another 2 weeks for the response!!!
Nothing will bring back my boy and I don't want anything out of this. Just good service and care would be good.
I'd recommend going to a non chain vet practice if I was you.
***Also to my annoyance after all these complaints I'm still getting numerous messages about check ups when they are fully aware he passed away. just to rub in extra salt to the wound
