I cannot recommend Goddard's Wanstead highly enough. After our cat started howling and acting strangely, we brought her in on a hunch there was a problem. Max and the team acted so quickly to realise she had an intestinal problem that required surgery, saving her and ensuring she had a quick recovery. After a few days in the vet hospital she is now home, and doing so well. I'm so glad we took her, and that the team acted so quickly to determine what was wrong. The affection and care she got from the whole team at Goddard's has been amazing, and we feel very lucky to have had such a fantastic team helping our little one get better. Thank you! My two cats are about 8 years old now and get the best treatment when they do to the vet (which I'm glad to say isn't too often but generally once or twice a year). I don't think they've seen the same doctor twice, but that doesn't really matter - they get looked after very well. Much appreciated.

We've been bringing our dogs here for years, recently our puppy was diagnosed with a spinal problem, Wanstead Hospital and Goddards Barking have helped us treat him to a point where he can stand again and hopefully will be able to walk a bit on his own in the coming weeks. We didn't think we'd still have him a few months after his first diagnosis so can't thank Goddards enough for their help and support.

Brought our hamster Boris in two days in a row. Both times he was seen really quickly. All the staff we saw were friendly, helpful and professional. Both vets gave really good advice and Boris has made a full recovery. Thank you.

World class treatment for our Miniature Schnauzer after an attack by an uncontrolled dog left her with severe wounds on her back. This is truly a centre of excellence with caring, expert and professional staff throughout the team. I cannot either thank them or recommend them highly enough.

I was told that the cost of my cat's hospitalisation will be around £600-800. He didn't have any bones broken in the end, which was a better outcome than expected (and no further complications during his stay), so I was very surprised to receive a bill for over £1000!!! And they didn't even do usg (despite my request) nor did they want to give me a copy of his results (xrays and bloor results). Also, the reception is rather unfriendly and the service is sooo slow! They didn't prepare his discharge papers by next day noon, as promised on the phone the day before, and then I had to wait 45min for my scheduled appt. The only advantage is they are 24/7 so if you have a major emergency in the middle of the night, they are your last resort.

The Goddard Group as a whole has been fabulous in treating my cats, but over the last few months I have made many MANY trips to the Wanstead hospital. They have been so helpful, kind, caring, understanding, and supportive. I cannot praise them enough. My cat Nem destroyed her knee. We at first brought her to our local vet, but were sent to Wanstead after the xrays showed more serious damage. The vets at Wanstead acted quickly. They got her in for surgery right away. It was a harrowing few months, and I must have called them a dozen times, as I was always worried something might go wrong. They were great in dealing with my insurance provider as well (GET PET INSURANCE!!!!) and excellent in keeping records of the treatment. PDSA insurance agreed with their costs, so personally I believe they don't charge unnecessarily as some of the less happy reviews here claim, as I would imagine that's exactly what insurance providers would look for. At any rate, Nem is happily healed and healthy. The staff at Wanstead have literally had patience for me through all the tears and anxiety, and I cannot rate them highly enough for being so kind to my poor kitty and to myself. 100% would recommend, not that I ever want to have to go through an ordeal like that again - but if Nem ever needs help, I know where to go!

Very expensive vet. Was charged £110 for a 2minute check over of my dog. Would never go back.
