Not our usual vet- we are in London for Easter. Our Frenchie had a problem so we rang. Very calm receptionist told us the tariff for a Bank Holiday ( we were worried about that!) and we went along. They offer a calm, professional service and the vet, Daniel, picked up on something missed by our regular vet. Our Frenchie is getting better and we can relax knowing that our dog couldn't have had better treatment Wish they were our regular vets; thoroughly recommend Goddardsmmn

Went in with my cat who had a slight abscess. She was treated immediately and with care - my cat is not very friendly but the vet and nurse were understanding and extremely good with her. Also didn't give unnecessary treatment but what was best for the injury, very very impressed.

Although the outcome for my Cat Chase wasn't great, miss that little gu, the Vets proved a pleasure to deal with. The Vets kept me well informed, provided honest and impartial advice, which was really needed and to help matters even more, they worked directly with my insurance to get everything sorted. Thanks guys,

Had to attend at 11pm with my moggy who was in quite a lot of pain from cystitis. Appointment was quick, clean, friendly, good follow-up and cat is looking much better.

I've used this vet a few times now for my dogs and only when I've felt it had been very necessary. I usually prefer my old vet but they are 180 miles away, so I go to Goddards when something more urgent needs attention and I have to say I am less than impressed. I get the gerneral feeling that this particular Vets is about money. They seem to rack up every appointment I've had with them, unnecessarily adding things to the bill. I feel as though no genuine care is given about my dogs and they just go over basic routine procedure with no real care or concern. They seem more interested in trying to get me to pay more money for multiple things rather than offering any real solution to the issue. For instance, after seeing one of my dogs today with a problem with her hind leg giving way and she keeps collapsing. He offered no useful information whatsoever and after saying she didn't appear to be in any pain they still suggested I buy painkillers, he also insisted on cutting her nails (which were due but I always do them myself and would have that day) He did perform a gerneral check (temp, heart rate...) but it wasn't until asking serval questions and having to reiterate my concerns for her leg giving way that he finally mentioned looking at her trying to walk. Even after that he didn't offer any useful help. I felt like I was trying to get blood out of a stone. He did say she could have an X-ray but couldn't tell me when or how useful that would be as he didn't seem to know what they should be looking for. I was more concerned that she'd had a stroke to which he replied "she could have done". The whole appointment was bloody useless and cost me a total of £73.63 for basically 5 minutes of bugger all!! Needless to say I will be making the 180 mile journey in the morning to see my usual vets, who on a phone call were more useful than the staff at this place!!!
