We have had some challenging times with Goddard (management team - money oriented and robotic) but some of on the ground team are exceptional. The reception team are empathetic, understanding pet lovers themselves - friendly and thoughtful. But the reason we’ve kept coming back for a decade now - despite the astonishing prices and ridiculous schedule availability - is the incredible vet Shaun Smith. The hard work and dedication he’s shown to our two dogs has been an invaluable comfort and support through some of the hardest possible times any dog owner will ever have to go through. From the start to the end of one of our beloved dogs’ precious life, Shaun was there. Guiding and supporting until his very last breath, going above and beyond with empathy and an honest approach. I simply couldn’t have got through that last couple of years without Shaun. There was nobody else I could have trusted to help keep our dog healthy for as long as it was right for him, or to have said goodbye to our dog with, or left in his care to go on his final journey. Shaun has truly earnt our trust and the trust of our pets, who both love(d) him. In a field that’s become increasingly mercenary, Shaun stands out as an incredible vet who cares about the pets and the guardians who love and care for them.

I cannot speak highly enough about these guys, unfortunately We lost our Labrador Stevie, but the care, the compassion and professionalism that these guys showed was absolutely wonderful

We are so grateful to the Goddard team at the Wanstead. They did everything possible to save our cats life and succeeded. I called the out of hour’s emergency line and spoke to someone immediately. They requested that I bring our cat in asap. Within minutes of arriving they took our cat away as they knew from the call it was serious. They communicated with us throughout with regular updates and most importantly their quick actions and care saved our cats life. A big thank you to Vittoria who was the vet that looked after him.
The hospital is also reasonably wheelchair accessible with wide doorways, step free entrance, blue badge parking and large consulting rooms.

All the staff are amazing. I spoke to Tabitha the day before my dog's neutering and she put me at total ease....what a star !! I was lucky enough to speak to her this evening with a post op question and , as usual, she went above and beyond with her care ! X

I just wanted to share my amazing experience with this team over the last week. My dog unfortunately caught sepsis and from stepping into their doors late Friday night they have gone above and beyond to save her. They are truly dedicated to their jobs including reception staff. They filled me with confidence that no matter what Missie’s outcome was, I knew they were doing absolutely everything they could for her. All thanks to them Missie is now home recovering but I still know they are at the end of the phone should I need them. A special thank you to Charlotte Peres for bringing me home my best friend ❤️ words cannot describe how grateful I am to all of you who cared for Missie ❤️

I recently had to bring my fur-baby Milo to Wanstead Pet Hospital for surgery, and I cannot express how amazing the entire experience has been. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond all expectations. A special thank you to Shaun for performing the surgery and fixing my little one, and to Agne & Katarzyna for their wonderful assistance throughout the process.
What truly touched my heart was when I emailed last night to check on Milo, and not only did I receive a prompt response, but they also sent me a photo of him. That gesture meant the world to me.
