We are incredibly happy with our basement. There were delays due to COVID but Murray and the team worked hard to finish as quickly as possible. Friends and family all compliment the new basement and we are proud to host in our new space. All of our requests were responded to and acted on quickly. I happily recommend Basement Builders.

We enjoyed working with Basement Builders, we have never completed a basement reno before and the thought of it was intimidating. The Basement Builders team walked us through all the steps, and arranged everything on our behalf. Every concern or question we had was met with professionalism and follow ups via e-mail, and in person, to ensure progress was being made on the basement. I am very detail oriented and enjoyed picking out the finishes myself. The team is also very detail oriented and were great at ensuring even the smallest detail was perfect. Our basement is so bright and welcoming, it is an amazing extension to our house. Thank you!!

The team did an excellent job on our new basement. The initial quote was quick and accurate including drawings. The software they use to review and update the selections was straightforward and easy to use. Murray kept us up to date on the project plan and was always very responsive. The quality of the work and professionalism of the tradesmen was far beyond what I had expected. They suggested changes to the original plan to ensure better use of the space and we appreciate their experience since it made a world of a difference. Overall, a very professional experience. The initial quote/designer went through our needs, made suggestions but was also not pushy about certain add ons. Although the overall build went a little over schedule, the crews coming and going were quite good. They provided a point of contact for any questions, concerns and issues along the way. Everything was done as per the quote and I wasn't asked for anything more than that.

We recently have developed our basement with the basement builders. After getting 3 quotes from different companies, we have decided to go with the basement builders because they seemed to really know exactly what they were doing, and were able to provide all the features we would like for our basement, not to mention having creative recommendations.
Murray, our coordinator was always on-point, explained every single step of the way, communicated very clearly of what to expect for coming days. He was always reachable and checked in with us periodically to make sure we are understanding each other clearly. We were worried that because the basement builders seemed to be one of the biggest and the best, their pricing will be quite more expensive, but the pricing was quite competitive, and they went above and beyond to help us out when we were encountering problems with our furnaces. Plus, they were just so pleasant to work with. They made sure that the contractors were able to access without us having to open doors for them all the time, and worry about our security, and also had all the protected flooring done to keep our doorway nice and clean.
I would highly recommend the basement builder to anyone looking to get their basement done because of their professionalism and the quality of work they have provided for us.

I had Basement Builders take my basement from bare to finished. They gave a fair quote, were very quick to get to work, and very good about making sure everything was done right and to make sure I was happy. They took the time to protect my floors, the trades people were courteous and the scheduling of each trade flowed very well so that some work was usually occurring on most days. Work began in November and was finished the second week of January. The only thing I would change is perhaps a more itemized list of what things cost so you have a better idea of cost for services. Also maybe a bit more flexibility when using materials that you already have so as to cut down on things bought and use up already existing materials. I understand that would cause issues with guarantees though. That being said I am happy with what was done and would recommend them.

Our experience with Basement Builders was a 5 star journey from beginning to end. We used them to design and complete the basement development of our new home. I was so impressed at how well Don knew his costs. Throughout the design process he knew what different options and design features would cost, and was able to draw from a wealth of experience to advise on the functionality, benefits, drawbacks and trends surrounding different decisions. Saving us time and stress in the process.
At any point along the way when the project encountered something unforeseen and a decision needed to be made the team knew what needed to be done, how long it would take and how much it would cost at nearly the drop of a hat.
I've also never a group of subcontractors work so hard in all my life, I was impressed time and time again at their diligence to doing the job well.
Our project was completed on time with minimal cost creep for unforeseen changes (under 1%). They have made basement development a craft and they are masters at every aspect of it.

Basement Builders is a great contractor. They're professional and easy to work with. I got my basement developed earlier this year and everything went smoothly. They designed the layout to maximize the space and incorporate the needs all at the same time. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs to get their basement developed in a heart beat.

Basement Builders are first rate all the way and professional from start to finish. The initial scope and estimate for our basement remodelling took place within 24 hours of initial contact. Work started within a week and the basement was finished far faster than we ever expected. It was finished quickly, but without compromise in quality. This is an exceptionally well organized company. The timing of the walk through, framing, electrical, drywall, taping, painting, flooring, finishing and cleaning was always a fast follow. Once one was done, the next phase was started and completed shortly thereafter. Their representatives are professional, and the sub-trades are just as good. There were no product or service delays and everything happened on plan and within budget. The finish was exactly how we envisioned the basement. I would recommend them to anyone. It was extremely refreshing to work with a company that delivered on time and without excuses. They do what they say they will.

Had an excellent experience with BB, from the time of the quote to the completion of our space. They were extremely timely with their project deadlines, all contractors that were in our home were extremely professional and respectful of our home. They worked closely with us on the design offering input where requested and taking the time to understand what we were looking for.
Had a couple hiccups with parts either not being available or faulty and BB responded quickly and efficiently to get things rectified.
Would certainly recommend their services to anyone looking to develop more space in their home.

Basement Builders did a fantastic job with our undeveloped basement. It looks amazing there! They were easy to communicate with and quick to answer our questions/concerns. They had great suggestions whenever we weren't sure what we wanted. We barely had to lift a finger. They took care of the permits and inspections for us.
