We decided to hire Basement builders to develop our basement and we are very happy with the results. Ben and Mathew are great to work with and very knowledgeable. Ben works the construction side, he know his stuff and is able to offer great advice with designing the basement. Mathew does a great job in handling the business side. He is always very fast in responding to any questions and providing great service. We had a tighter timeline to finish the basement and they were very accommodating to try to finish in time. Their prices were fair and the package included things that you would expect as an upgrade, such as the sink being under mount and the counter top being granite/quarts. We recommend Basement Builders to assist in any basement reno/development you need.

We hired the Basement Builders in the summer to complete our unfinished basement in a 3 year-old house. They were punctual and communicated effectively to advise us of what to expect at every point through the process.
We did a fairly specialized sound-isolation treatment in our basement, and Matt, Ben, and the Basement Builders were patient and collaborative as we addressed each piece of the build as it progressed. They indulged my whims and frequent course-reversals as we navigated the challenging landscape of building out double-layered, Green Glue inclusive ceiling and walls. I felt as though they were interested in my vision for the project, and consequently invested in the product I wanted. I had a chance to converse with many of their sub-trades, and they were all wonderful to deal with - I was genuinely impressed by the caliber of labour they're able to attract.
Although there were some delays, Matt and Ben managed the communication and set expectations so effectively that we were never left wondering "what's next?".
I strongly recommend working with the Basement Builders as they've got an incredibly well-oiled machine that keeps focus on the customer's needs and wants, a rare quality with any vendor these days.

Matt and Ben definitely know their stuff! We had our basement developed by Basement Builders as well as a couple of windows added to the upstairs of our home and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. The whole process went very smoothly from our first phone conversation to completion. Matt is one of the most responsive people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He was always available to address any concerns that I had no matter how small… very rare to come by in this industry. Very refreshing to see this kind of commitment and customer service! Definitely made the process as stress-free as possible.
The workmanship exhibited by all the trades is excellent. Matt and Ben have assembled an amazing and dedicated team! All work was completed to a very high quality and the tradesmen were always considerate. Jordan the framer is very knowledgeable and created solutions that helped us maximize space. Sam and his electrician partner were very flexible in helping us plan out the plugs, switches, and lighting. Mike the plumber did a wonderful job with the bar and the bathroom. The drywall crew was very quick and kept the mess to a minimum. Mani the painter showed a high level of detail and pride in his work while always being extremely courteous. No detail was too small or meticulous for him to take care of. Don’s crew was very helpful when we were picking out the wet bar cabinetry and it turned out exactly the way we envisioned. Paddy’s flooring and tiling team did an excellent job with the carpet, tiles, and the full-wall backsplash for the bar. Carlo’s team was extremely accommodating and took the time to help us pick the perfect slab of quartz for the bar countertop! Ben organized the project very well and along with Matt, were able to keep us informed throughout the entire project timeline. THANK YOU GUYS FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Their work is of the highest grade and the price was very competitive. They planned and designed the basement quickly and skillfully and got to work right away. They were done before schedule and all the workers coming through my house were friendly, professional and polite. I have 4 kids in the house and was never worried about having their workers coming and going.
The basement looks amazing and I like the way they never tried to up-sell me. They wanted to make a basement that fitted the idea in my head and most importantly, my budget.
I would highly recommend these guys. Matt and Ben were a pleasure to work with.

I had these guys come in and do a custom basement. The first thing I had them do is put in a separate entrance. This was done quite quick the only hold up was the city on inspection. Second thing was to develop my basement into a salon. Once the design was set up they got right to work. I was offered samples of the products to be put in and some changes I made were accepted with open thought and happily done. I recommend these guys to anyone.

I never planned on getting our basement developed in the new year. It was something that I’ve always wanted to do ever since we bought our house three years ago. After meeting with Matt and Ben, we decided to move forward after the estimate. I created a concept of what I wanted and Matt and Ben orchestrated the masterpiece.
Matt and Ben care about their company and it shows. All the trades that were involved; from the framers to the drywall to the painters, electricians to the hvac guys; were all phenomenal. They work clean and showed a great deal of respect towards our property and to us the homeowners. We appreciated everybody who was involved.
Our basement was finished on schedule and the final pricing was exactly what our initial estimate was. I couldn’t be more than happy.
Every time an issue would arise, Matt would always respond within minutes and the issue would be resolved immediately. His business is the type that you want to have because he’s always on top of things.
I highly recommend the basement builders . With no doubt in my mind, I have to give them a perfect rating. Extreme professionalism, outstanding customer service, supreme quality and the financing is flexible. It was a stress free experience for us.
Matt and Ben, thank you for everything. We love our new expanded living space. The basement is beautiful and blends into the house perfect. It was exactly the way we wanted it. My wife loves her new office and the new tv room became one of the highlights of our home. I am very proud to say that the basement builders developed our basement.

I wanted my basement completely renovated (had bare floors and no interior walls) but I didn’t even know where to start. Basement Builders arrived for a quote and in only a few minutes, using laser technology and an iPad, they produced a to-scale, detailed blueprint of the entire project (very professional)! The professionalism continued throughout the project and they really paid attention to “detail” as a custom-made shower was modified to fit under my staircase in the new bathroom, as well as adding a bedroom and living room. The finish of the new ceiling was superb along with smooth walls and a beautiful paint-job throughout. I appreciated the quick response from (owner) Mathew on texts, email and phone calls for all my inquiries. Basement Builders took care of everything from getting the proper inspections/permits to hauling all the trash and having a final clean-up crew to even clean the windows! This attention to detail is what sets apart the “excellent” contractors from the “good” contractors and Basement Builders is definitely top tier. I highly recommend them.

From the beginning, Matt and Ben were very responsive. They came out to our house for the initial assessment and created blueprints as we walked through the basement. Throughout the building process, they remained very responsiveness. Any issues that arose were taken care of quickly. All of the contractors that we encountered were very pleasant to deal with and very respectful of our house. That being said, we were rarely contacted by any workers as they dealt directly with Matt and Ben. The quality of work is excellent and we are very happy with the final product. We have received numerous compliments on the basement and are already enjoying the great new addition to the house. I would use them again without hesitation.

Basement Builders were an awesome pick right from the initial call for quote through to the end of the job. Matt and Ben showed up to quote and were very professional, offering recommendations from previous jobs and an immediate sketch on a tablet to let you see how it will look. Once a date was set, we seen immediate action with the trades getting right down to work. There was always at least one crew working on the various pieces of the job and we were also very impressed with the timeline, nearly completing the basement on the exact date on the quote. The end job was just as professional with the few minor deficiencies, Matt had someone working on it immediately and all was cleared up within days. Matt even came to inspect after all was complete with sincerely telling us that if there is anything we notice after we move down he will be back to correct as well as honouring the 5 year warranty. We highly recommend Basement Builders to anyone looking to complete there extra space. Thank you Matt, Ben and all your tradesmen, job well done.

From start to finish these guys are true professionals. Paid exactly what I was quoted, all the trades were respectful of our home, and the job was beautiful. Basement Builders took care of the entire process, from permits to inspections we did not have to do a thing; which is what we were looking for due to our busy schedule. The price we paid was comparable, even less in some cases, then other quotes we received from contractors who did not do all the little things these guys do. Seamless process, highly recommend.
