Totally satisfied with everything (product, delivery and customer service)! They even gave me a T-shirt :-)
Our patio is L-shaped and measures 42 'x 22'. We used the Toja Grid system to build 2 pergolas to protect us from the sun and to create privacy screens. The pergola next to the trees is 10 feet high, 6 feet deep and 12 feet wide. The one with the solar shades is 10 feet high, 9 feet deep and 20 feet wide. We used 6 "x 6" Goodfellow Tera lumber for the frame and red cedar for the privacy walls and railings.
We were 4 people (2 couples) to build the pergolas. It was not child's play as the wooden structure was very heavy (150 pounds per piece). I highly recommend renting a scaffold! It took us about 6 hours to build the pergolas.
You will notice that we used a lot of Toja Grid parts for an awesome look. All the neighbors stop in front of our house to admire our patio!
Budget:
Toja Grid: $ 3,000 (including solar shades)
Goodfellow Tera: $ 1,000
Red cedar: $ 1,500
Labor: 12 beers
In the pictures you will find the original plan we created in Sketchup. Because the red cedar looked so beautiful, we decided to use it for all the railings instead of the glass, and it was a lot cheaper to use wood!
