The arrival of boxes was great and packed well. Our 4x4’s had some swelling due to moisture so needed to shave them down and use a sledge hammer to get the in corners. We had been for warned about weight setting structure upright so had enough help. Pleased with final product but disappointed that the overhead brackets weren’t fitted for 2x4’s which are plenty of support for screening. We should have been instructed to order that size for overhead structure. I’m sending photo of the overhead brackets.

Our Toja grid showed up in good condition and was easy to install. We had ordered one sail for it and then decided to order a second one for the side. We looked for one to fit and found it and ordered it. It was very expensive. We found the exact same one for half the price at Home Depot and decided to return the one we ordered it had not even been shipped yet. Our customer experience was not very good. My husband sent an email and was told that the shade sail was a custom order and could not be returned. Not sure how it was custom as we found the exact same one at the store?? The customer service rep, Alissa, was very unhelpful and a little condescending. Hence only 4 stars. The product itself is great, customer service managers not so much. It would have been a lot better if the website was more user friendly.

Make sure you use good wood. Wish I had paid closer attention to the size of the knect brackets as 4x4 seem unnecessarily heavy. 2x4 would have been better for our purposes. Mosquito netting is fantastic, great quality. Completely worth the price.

I ordered just the shade cover as I already have a pergola on my deck. The shade cover arrived packaged very well. The shade this provides for my deck is much appreciated. The only reason for 4 stars is that the "ties" to attach to the supplied brackets should have a locking mechanism to keep the ties tight.

It looks great! Very happy with the look. Very sturdy. I received the delivery short a few items which was corrected quickly. The 4x Star rating does reflect the missing items as I did need to push the assembly out two weeks waiting for the missing parts to arrive. For anyone planning to put up a 12x12 with 6x6 posts be advised it is a very heavy and tall assembly. The instructions recommend 6x persons to help with the assembly, but that assumes they have the ability to lift the top over 8 feet or using 6x ladders (if using 8 foot high posts). I did not want to ruin any friendships or relations, so opted for a manual lift (rented a duct lift), and my adult son. Using many guide ropes to stabilize while lifting bit-by-bit, one side, than the other we eventually got it up! Take care with the tarp and match the lengths on the two down sides. We matched to the middle, only to learn one side was one inch longer than the other (I suspect just a minor assembly nuance). Too late at that point to fix without moving all screwed in holes.

It is a very nice system and looks good. If you are not going to buy cedar, measure the pressure treated stuff before you use it. It will likely be too large for the Toja Grid brackets. You will save a lot of work, if you get the right wood.

The toja grid system is great, but you will need to trim down the ends if you use cedar. We fitted it with pressure treated first and they fit perfectly. Changed last minute and forgot to refit it turned out great though. My only negative feedback is for the straps of the shades. The clasps are small and plastic. The straps also are not sewn at the ends to keep them from coming out of the clasps. So in a strong wind, they come undone and you have to get on a ladder to reattach. All in all though, we are extremely happy with our purchase!
