The ends of every 4x4 post had to be sanded otherwise they did not fit inside the brackets. The incorrect cover was included in the kit (the box was marked correctly). Contacted Customer Service and after they reviewed the photos we sent, they are sending the correct size and I will return the wrong size (postage paid by the company). Didn't take into consideration that the brackets add to the width and length, so it will just barely fit on the deck. Until this project is completely finished, we would recommend to others, but with reservations.

I was very happy with the product. It was very easy to put together. I feel however that there are a few pieces that could be added to the product to give a few more choices. However I would definitely refer this product. Prices are a bit too high, and could be lowered in the Kits. I will post pictures once available.

Bonjour, Dans l'ensemble je suis satisfait du produit. Sauf pour trois items. Deux items qui ne sont pas de la même couleur que les autres. Un autre item qui aune mauvaise soudure. (voir photos ci-jointe) Merci Jacques Boisvert

My pergola came out great. I would have given a 5 star, except the brackets were cut to near exact size of the 4x4 posts, and were just slightly too tight. It took me and three large teen boys to lift and install the entire system. Also took about 3 hours. I love the outcome.

Overall happy. Some struggle with inserting some painted beams. Had to pound with slash hammer and block of wood to fit. Also, TojaGRID customer support was very helpful and supportive with email questions.

I really like the simple style of the Toja Grid. I bought the tarp and installed it on my pergola. I didn't know how strong it was, but recently found out when a snow storm hit the area. It's strong, but not strong enough. The straps failed, in most cases tearing from the tarp. Wondering if this is covered under the warranty

I have 2 complaints. I used 6x6 pressure treated wood and the recommended way to install this was to build the top and then install the legs. I also wanted to put the legs in the ground so the legs were two feet longer than if I were to mount them to concrete. I had 4 strong men with me and found the top was extremely heavy and not really possible to lift to the height we needed to without a lifting apparatus (crane/hoist). So we had to set the posts first and then install the top beams. The other complaint I have is that the pressure treated wood was larger than the brackets and I had to plane the wood quite a bit in order to get the wood to fit. Other than that I love the way they look and now that I know how to put them together I can make them in the future.

The project was harder than expected, but turned out better than expected. The biggest challenge is fitting treated lumber into the Toja Grid system. Hammering treated wood into the grid can by dangerous and quite difficult. I would recommend Toja Grid make a system with fittings slightly larger for treated wood. Cedar appears to fit relatively easy, but cedar is very difficult to source. Treated pine being the most appropriate for outdoor pergola’s it would make the most sense to make a system specifically for treated wood.
