Encore Concrete Coating
East Dundee, IL
On October 3, 2022 Encore Concrete Coating ("Encore") installed concrete coating on my garage floor. I was pleased and proud of the results. In December, 2022 it snowed. After clearing the snow from the garage floor, I noticed that an area of the floor began to pop-up. I contacted Encore and was transfered to the Claims Department. I spoke with a representative ("rep") in Claims who asked me to fill out a claims form online, take a picture of the area that is popping up, upload the picture and the completed form and send it back to Encore. It was dark outside, so I told the rep that I would use the bright lights on my car to highlight the area. The picture clearly shows the effected area because the surrounding areas are flat, and that area is raised. I received a return call from the claims department and the rep told me that he could see the raised area I was referring to. He asked me if the area looked like popcorn. I said it did and the rep told me he knew the cause and how to fix it. The only problem was the inclement weather. I agreed that the spring or summer of 2023 would be the best time to address my concerns.
In July of 2023, I began to call the Claims Department, and I left several messages stating the reason for my calls with the receptionist. No one from management returned my calls. When I called back the phone would ring and no one answered.
After multiple attempts to get a response, with no replies, I realized
that my phone number had been blocked.
On August 31, 2023 I received an email (not a call) from Encore stating that a tech had been scheduled to come to my home. The email indicated that the scheduling department could not give me a time, but that the tech would call prior to arrival. When the tech arrived, we had a brief conversation regarding my concerns. His demeanor, along with his lack of interest in what I had to say, were clear when he said he saw nothing in the picture I submitted to the Claims Department. His tone and his negative demeanor were sufficient reasons for me to end the conversation - and I did. It is evident that the tech's ultimate goal was to dismiss my claim as unfounded. This company has a Lifetime Warranty. My problem developed within a month and they don't want to admit that the problem exists.
In the beginning when I invested over $2,000 with Encore, I was treated with respect. The minute I complained, I was no longer a Priority. My status with Encore had changed. I became a Second-Class Citizen, and I have been treated accordingly.
The way a company treats you after a sale, should be just as important as the way you are treated before the sale.
My experience doing business with Encore Concrete Coating has been a nightmare!
I do not recommend investing in Encore Concrete Coating.
