The law firm was truly exceptional with the handling of my immigration case. They were very thorough and detail oriented. There was a lot of information to gather on my behalf that I wouldn't have known had I tried to do it on my own. They provided great guidance and direction throughout the entire process. I am a mature student with three refusals on my study permit and got a tough time with the Visa approval with IRCC appointed foreign Visa Officers in a third world country. Before approaching Matkowsky law firm, I spoke to a couple of Canadian Immigration lawyers based on a google search and reviews posted online. I was getting different approaches to deal with my Student Visa situation from other lawyers. Some of them were very rude when I was returning their missed calls. Some were suggesting me for a direct judicial review. This approach did not convince me. Then finally, I found Matkowsky Law firm after a refined search on google. I started reading the reviews on their website, Facebook, and Google and saw all the complicated cases that this firm successfully resolved. One of the PR misrepresentation cases of an individual from Srilanka successfully solved I was stunned by Sonia Matkowskty. The review, especially about the study permit getting approved the first time by Matkowsky Law firm after the previous two refusals by two different Canadian lawyers, gave me total confidence that this was my ideal law firm.
I was not in a position to spend money on multiple lawyers, as is the above case. Then I finally called Matkowsky law firm to book an appointment for a consultation. But, to my surprise, the law firm owner John Matkowsky picked up my phone call, listened patiently to my case, and provided me a perfectly legal solution. I was lucky to have a free phone consultation with John, and that call lasted for about 15-20 minutes. His approach was to cover all the law points from a 360-degree angle and refile my study Permit. He gave me 75% assurance that they would approve my file if the visa officer looked thoroughly at their argument page. The remaining 25% rests in the hands of the foreign visa officers who do not have thorough reading habits. He assured me that the rest of 25% would be taken care of by the Judicial review. I filed my study permit through them and finally received my Study Visa. I was desperate to get this student visa because I had no other means of obtaining the Canada PR points because of my age.
I will always be thankful to Matkowsky Law firm, which has taken pride in putting all their hard efforts and preparing an extensive, thorough case to get my Visa approved. I would suggest people dealing with complicated immigration-related issues can blindly put their trust in this law firm after reading my review. These people are lifesavers. I would also tell that the law firm makes sure that their Company Website shows up on the google search's top page. They truly deserve it.

I would like to thank Matkowsky Immigration for taking my file. Especially to John who takes my files first and assures me that they are not the same as the other law firms, that who will just take your money but can't help you at all. My file was a difficult one as I didn't declare that i have a child upon arriving here in Canada. Many immigration lawyers refused or can't help me and others just took my money. And when Gina took over my file she handled it very well and professionally, even though the PILOT PROGRAM for SPONSORING UNDECLARED FAMILY MEMBERS is very new. And now for over a year of process i have my family here with me now in Canada.

The Matkowsky group is very experienced and specialized in the field of "student migration". And obviously in my case because of the mistakes my previous agent had made. I was refused twice for Permanent resident via Express Entry, I hired a lawyer in Vancouver who does not really understand or know what he was doing. My friend in Toronto was working with Sonia and Gina and they got her refused application to approved in 5 weeks. I decided to abandon my very expensive lawyer here in vancouver and went with Sonia. Best decision, I started with Maria and my file was eventually transfered to Gina, Gina and Sonia are so knowlegable with this immigration stuff, their knowlege makes them very powerful. They stood firmly behind me and I am happy to say that I am a permanent resident of canada today

Matkowsky handled our case with full experience and professionalism. While submitting supporting documents, Sonia & person who were handling our case were responsive to our comments and accommodated our requests(they did a good job, only added online up on our request). There was no process delay from Matkowsky side and I hardly called them even tough I am in different time zone. Everything was done in email with point to point discussion. With two prior rejections, we thought its gonna be tough and provided all the available info, supporting docs and with in short period of time Matkowsky did a good work in presenting solid file. I will user their services going forward too.

Matkowsky Law has been a very good experience. I chose this firm because of Maria Tomaselli. She is amazing! Very professional, kind hearted and knows what she is doing. It took me about 1.5 months to gather all the documents I needed from overseas. Plan and apply early. It takes time to get documents you need before you can summit your completed application for PR to the IRCC.
