It's very early days for us, because we just brought one of our dogs in for a medical check, as we intend to use Stone Lion for both of them going forward. We will post additional comments, if relevant, once we have had the opportunity to further assess the service, but today's experience was excellent, and we couldn't fault any aspect.
We chose Stone Lion based on personal recommendations by pet owners we know and trust, and our experience today confirmed everything they told us about the friendly atmosphere, caring Vets, and the quality of the advice given which creates confidence that you you will be putting your pets' health in good hands.

My dog has been here for emergency care and for a general appointment when my usual Goddards couldn’t fit me in. I’ve also received medical advice by phone. I always feel like he’s in good hands here. The vets we’ve seen have been caring and considerate. The reception staff are friendly, really helpful and always welcoming whether by phone or in person. I personally feel this plays a huge part in dealing with vets. I’m considering moving his care here permanently even though it’s a 50 minute journey.

An excellent vet practice. I’ve always been able to get an appointment at short notice and there’s someone there 24/7 in case of emergency. The vets and nurses are extremely thorough, and genuinely seem to care about their patients. StoneLion may be fractionally more expensive than other vets in the area, but for me well worth it for peace of mind.
(Some other practices don’t have an overnight service and can’t even keep animals in overnight and have to transport them elsewhere, regardless of how sick they are! StoneLion don’t do this and have staff on the premises 24/7).
PS - I can’t help noticing that a whole batch of recent 1 star reviews below are from people using more or less the same wording. Many of them have only ever written that one review or have also (coincidentally?) also all given a glowing 5 star and similarly worded review for a particular mortgage broker!! Bit suspicious eh? I smell a vendetta of some sort !

Just a very quick note to say thank you for everything you’ve done for me and Josh so far. It would be unfair of me to name specific individuals – every single person of the many that has looked after us, and had to put up with me since Wednesday has been absolutely spectacularly competent, kind, warm and 100% committed to what they are doing.
So to reception, the nurses, the vets, assistants and management – thank you.

Took my dog to Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital of Goddard Group as an emergency due to lump on her lower neck which started to restrict her breathing.
While we were waiting for the results from the lab due to arrive next week, dog was supposed to be put on anti-iflammatory medication, but on duty veterinary practitioner gave us a mixture of paracetamol and codein instead...0. Trully shocking incompetence.
The following day I noticed red spots on dog's belly and she started to scratch a lot. After carefull examination found number of black flees crawling around which most definitely were picked up in the hospital previous night because my dog didn't mix with any other dogs and stayed in doors all the time.
I went back to the hospital, which happened
to be after normal hours, to buy flee treatment. Despite my plea's they refused to sell it to me claiming it wasn't not an emergency.... Never mind that previous night I paid them £310.00 for picking up flees and for incompetent vet issuing us wrong medication

Just bought our dog to this vet at 10PM after she ate a massive raisin cake, the vet was really phenomenal and understanding of our dogs anxiety and reactivity - thank you very much!!

I recently took my cat to here, she was seriously ill and sadly had to be put to sleep. They were really lovely, they helped my 4 year old daughter say goodbye to her, the vet helped her understand what was happening and was so sweet to my little girl when she was crying. And we got really sweet momentoes of our little kitty to remember her forever! Thank you

One of the worst experiences of my life. I telephoned this practice out of hours.
My pet was dying and the vet was more interested in explaining extra costs that might be charged.
When I arrived the out of hours nurse said I might have to wait. When I told her that my pet was no longer moving the attitude changed.
