We rented a 4x4 happy campers van since the weather can be bad atound this time. We anticipated having flight delays so we booked to be picked up from the airport around 9:15 but we got to Keflavik on time. We called the office at 8am and they gladly added us to the 8:15 first pickup. The driver (didn't get his name) was very nice and helpful. When we got to the office, Dawid helped us with setting us up with our van. He was very friendly and he went through everything with us and answered all our questions happily. He also gladly took our picture with the van. The camper van had everything we needed (blankets, pillows, portable stove, cooking utensils, plates, cutleries, water for washing and dish soap). If you get the happiest bundle you can get portable wifi (or any other extras you need) as part of the package so pretty concenient.
We felt safe driving it around iceland even when the road got snow covered on our way back to the city one day. The van had a lot of space and we slept great in the van. It had battery operated heater so we weren't cold at night (it gets colder at night especialy in March). When we returned the van, the process was smooth (Marina was very friendly too) and Marta dropped us off to the airport. She asked how our trip was and recommended going back around June time to see more flora. We are definitely going back to iceland again and will be renting from happy campers again. Highly recommended
(the van has pretty distinct design so we wave hi to anyone with happy camper vans we pass by )

Had an amazing experience with Happy Campers from start to finish! The customer service was top-notch: friendly, dedicated, and personalized.
Our 4x4 3pax camper was super comfy to drive, cook, and sleep in. Even in the windy Eastfjords, it held up great and felt super safe.
We were surprised by how spacious and well-designed it was, both practically and aesthetically. Loved seeing other Happy Campers on the road, we even made a friend thanks to it!
Returning the van honestly felt like saying goodbye to a travel buddy. Hope we meet again someday! :D

Super contentos con happy campers, alquilamos un modelo medio ya que teníamos que hacer noche en campings no necesitábamos ducha y preferimos un modelo pequeño. Es la empresa mas económica pero no tiene nada que ver ya que las campers están super bien cuidadas y la atención increíble.
A parte te hacen descuento si visitas una cantidad de puntos de Islandia, tienen una pequeña zona de útiles que les ha sobrado a los anteriores campistas y que puedes coger (papel cocina, sal, aceite…) nos sorprendió muy grata mente y super contentos!

La camper estaba muy limpia, además nos encantó que en el local para recoger y devolver las campers tengan una zona con los productos que no has podido terminar o se han quedado sin abrir, ya que así no se desperdicia tanto de los viajes en camper. Escogimos una camper pequeña, ya que las noches las pasamos en campings y fue una decisión genial, no pasamos nada de frío gracias a la calefacción!

We had an amazing 16 Day trip with our Happy 4x4 Camper. The service provided by the team (especially Benjamin) was fantastic they went over and beyond our expectations. Even when we had accidentally left out waterproof jackets in the van at checkout they kindly dropped them to our hotel as we had an early flight the following morning. Would highly recommend them to anyone!!! Thanks again, we’ll be back!

We were really happy with the service and the van we received from Happy Campers. They were very helpful and informative. Free tea and coffee and biscuits at the office, and foods left from other campers to help yourself to. Really handy to be picked up and dropped off at the airport free of charge. Our van was little but lovely. We were given extra blankets but the duvets were wonderfully warm (even though they looked too thin to be) and the overnight heating in the van was perfect. We switched it off for a bit of night because we were warm enough, even though it was freezing outside. This meant there was still enough power to have the heating on before setting off in the morning (it charges up as you drive). Really lovely trip and would use Happy Canpers again. Only downside was loosing about £10 on our deposit because the exchange rate must have changed in the few days we were away. Not Happy Campers fault but something to be aware of.

We had so much fun! The vans were equipped with everything we needed and got great gas mileage. Everybody at the company was so kind and very knowledgeable. If I ever come back to Iceland, I will definitely use this company again!

We enjoyed a long weekend in Iceland and chose a Happy Camper to get around in! Even though we only stayed in our camper 1 night, the convenience of having kitchen, rest and stretching space for our day drives was worth it! Our 1 night was ideally spent at Skógafoss, along with probably close to 30 other camper vans and overnighters. We enjoyed snowmobiling on a glacier, the Blue Lagoon, and quaint, idyllic towns like the town of Vik. Nikola was very helpful over email in advance of our visit, and while I can’t remember the name of the young man who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, he was very helpful in also getting us checked in and then out again at the end of our trip! Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with happy campers. I came for a 10 day trip and hired a camper for a solid price! Customer service was great with a lift to from the airport upon arrival and before departure. There is a good food system where left over food from other campers can be dropped off, and new campers can choose from these items to take for free.

Would absolutely book with Happy Camper again! It was a great experience and a great way to see Iceland. Met other people with different companies camper vans and they were having a rough go of it between needing to plug in for electricity and running out of propane to run their heat overnight.
Will recommend Happy Camper to anyone looking to travel to Iceland, and hope to book with them again the next time I travel this way!

Fantastic rental campervan company. Our flight was delayed, so Liliana generously stayed beyond work hours to be a shuttle to the office. She explained many tips and details to make our trip safe and comfortable. The Happy Camper app was great too, with the main 3 websites that are crucial, such as the Road conditions map which gets updated every 3 min.
We had the Happy 1 EX and traveled in late January for 4 days, and it was off-peak, which was great as still a few tour buses at the main spots/waterfalls/ geysirs etc. All the main large roads were cleared of snow somewhat frequently, but the smaller roads were not accessible in our non-4x4 van. Took a day or so to be exposed to different icy driving conditions to feel fully confident, not for the faint-hearted/nervous driver!
The van kept warm at night but the heater was quite loud, so we turned it off just before sleeping. Whilst the van was insulated, the warm air didn't last that long, so within an hour of the heater being off it was quite cold. Definitely need many blankets and sleeping bags, as well as the sheet and duvets they provide. Some nights the condensation was pretty bad, but was gone by morning. Plenty of cooking gas, and large water tank. But we ended up using campsite kitchens most nights as they were warmer and bigger. Would rec this van for a couple days travel, but was small, so would might get annoying after much longer (sleeping was a tight fit at 180cm and a bit squished with my partner to my side).

I found it to be the most cost-effective way to rent a van and enjoy Iceland. The van I rented was the cheapest and the smallest one, yet my girlfriend and I were still able to sleep and cook in it with ease. The service was excellent, and the people at Happy Campers were very nice.

What a fabulous time my son and I had in Iceland. A very big thank you to all the happy camper team especially Ljiljana and Munch ! They couldn't be any more helpful , so friendly and so much good advice. Our camper van was superb , so comfortable with everything we needed for our trip, nice and warm too on the cold nights. Really enjoyed the skaftafell glacier area , stunning. Enjoyed the cold crisp air and amazing views everywhere you look. We wish we had stayed longer ! Next time. My only piece of advice is to take out gravel insurance. Again a big thanks to the happy campers for making our first trip to Iceland so memorable. Top marks

Happy ex 3 gave us opportunity for flexibility of schedule which is very important, Iceland weather is so unpredictable. The staff at office are kind and patient and let us time to get accustomed to all buttons and things. Don’t forget to buy the happiest plan cover. The road is so poor, gravel scratches all the glass in the car and without insurance, you’ll be paying a lot. We travel end of May- Early June. 3000 km including westfjord with 2 children.
Make sure to grab coffee maker, towel, rope for hanging clothes and 2 power inverters

We rented a van for 5 days/ 4 nights in December. The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. 10 out of 10 would rent from them again and recommend to others! I love that they have a donation shelf where you can leave the food/ pantry items you didn't finish so the next campers can use! So sustainable and thoughtful. Lilliana drove us to/from the airport and oriented us to the van. She was so wonderful!
