Happy Camper war die Beste Wahl, Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist super, man ist autonom, da man keinen Stromanschluss brauch. Vans sind super aufgebaut, sehr gemütlich einfach eine tolle Erfahrung gemacht. Beim nächsten Besuch werde ich zu 100% nochmal bei Happy Camper buchen.

The happy campers experience was amazing! When you get to the Reception, they really take care of you and explain everything about the camper and how it all works. The campers have everything you need to survive in Iceland's wild nature - it's a real challenge to travel there, but happy campers make your trip easier with their top-notch vans. Great job, guys! We'll definitely return to Iceland, but next time we'll rent a 4X4 camper..

Una empresa de camper grande y a la vez atenta y familiar. Es económica y aún así no siento que faltase nada. Si cogéis un modelo EX, notaréis que son furgonetas con uso y algún desgaste propio de la edad, pero bien tratadas y con todo lo necesario.
Happy Campers también se ocupa de darte botellas de gas, mantas de sobra y todo lo necesario. De hecho, en nuestro caso cargamos demasiadas cosas en la furgoneta que no utilizamos y ocupaban espacio. La calefacción es muy efectiva y nos sobraron mantas.
Además de la atención al cliente, de lo mejor que tiene es el hecho de poder cocinar dentro. En un país como Islandia, poder cocinar dentro de la furgoneta sin tener que abrir puertas se agradece especialmente, ya que a nadie le apetece tener el maletero abierto con lluvia y viento por la noche.
Por último, tuvimos algún problema con accesorios que contratamos y dejaron de funcionar, pero después se encargaron de reembolsarnos el coste, no tienen problema en aceptar errores cuando se cometen. Se esfuerzan en mejorar y dar la mejor experiencia posible.

We've road tripped Iceland twice with a Happy Campers van, and both times, we had a fantastic experience! Our first road trip, we spent a week on the south coast in a Happy 1 EX. Our second trip, we spent a week in the Westfjords and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, in a Happy 4x4 (3pax).
Both vans were thoughtfully designed. We had everything we needed for a smooth and comfortable road trip, even in chilly weather! The Happy Campers team at the office are super friendly and helpful, they really put effort into making sure you're all set and know everything you need to know to have a safe trip. We also really love the Free Zone! At the start of both of our trips we picked up some leftover groceries from other campers, and when we departed we left what we hadn't used ourselves.
Can't recommend Happy Campers enough. A campervan road trip is the best way to see Iceland, and the Happy Campers vans have everything you need for a perfect trip.

We've been back from our Iceland adventure for almost a week. We've taken a lot of trips together in the roughly 30 years that we've been together. This one may have been the best. For a little over two weeks, we lived in this gaudy van (illumination courtesy of a passing car) as we traveled around the country, staying at various campgrounds. We chased (and captured) the Northern Lights. Saw a whale. Ate part of a glacier. Photographed so many waterfalls. Nimbly (thanks to the van) avoided a couple snowstorms. Made simple meals on a grill and in the van's small kitchen. Learned that when it's cold enough outside - you don't really need to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. And just had a wonderful time exploring one of the most beautiful places on this planet. I suspect we'll do the same trip again before too long.
It is likely that we'll return to Happy Camper for our van needs. We had a great experience with the company - minus a few small issues. I really wish our van had been equipped with a rear-view camera. I noticed that some of the other vans (VWs) had them, while our model did not. It would probably also be helpful to spend a little more time going over the operation of the refrigerator, which apparently needs you to drive for a couple hours before the battery is fully charged. We didn't realize this - and lost our first day's purchase of perishable foods when the temperature in the cooler rose too high during the night. (We only drove from Happy Campers to a campsite in Reykjavik, which wasn't long enough to fully charge it.)
For anyone else considering a trip like this, I cannot recommend it strongly enough. And if you go with someone - at the very least, you will quickly learn whether you really enjoy being around that person or not.

We had such an incredible time on our trip! Our van was truly the greatest. We chose the Happy 2-3 Pax, and it was perfect for us. We agreed the layout of the fan was exceptional — Everything we needed (kitchen, cooler, cookware, convertible bed, etc) and nothing we didn't. Our pickup and drop off was very smooth, and the shuttle pickup our first morning was really nice. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I traveled the Ring Road and the Golden Circle using a Happy 2-3 Pax van and were extremely happy with it!
The bed was comfortable and very easy to set up and take down each day. Between the bedding and the heating system we never got cold. I could've used an extra pillow, but we had some free, spare blankets we grabbed from Happy Camper while checking in and that worked for me.
The water system was simple and very easy to use and refill. We liked that the cooking set up was able to be used outside too; most mornings we cooked and made tea outside and most nights we cooked inside the van.
Getting there was so simple! We arrived during normal operation hours so we were able to take advantage of the free airport pick up. We had an early flight when we were finished so we did an afterhours drop off. They have a campsite on location so we were able to camp there the night before our flight and arrange for a taxi to pick us up at 6am and just left the van there.
Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and if we were to do it again we would definitely use Happy Campers again!

We have visited Iceland twice now, and both times we rented from Happy Campers. WE LOVE IT!!! They have everything you need from chairs and tables to extra blankets, even guitars. The vans are very user friendly with a stove provided and with plush comforters to keep you warm. We even rented our sleeping bags from them. We hope to return, and if we do, we'll use Happy Campers again. Their employees are knowledgeable about the island and flexible in getting you back to the airport. Rent from this company - I highly recommend them!

We rented a car for our honeymoon from Japan and successfully completed a 7-day trip around the Ring Road.
We chose the "Happy2" vehicle and the "Happiest Bundle" plan, which included everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable journey, such as Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth speaker.
The explanations and support were thorough, allowing us to rent with peace of mind.
We will definitely use this service again when we visit Iceland next time!!

Le campeur van s'est avéré bien agencé et très confortable malgré sa taille modeste ; L'équipe d'Happy Campers à accepté de communiquer avec nous par mail afin que l'on puisse profiter de la traduction via le téléphone (Notre anglais est assez limité...) Les alertes météo qu'ils nous ont envoyées nous ont bien aider pour adapter notre circuit en évitant le mauvais temps... Nous sommes très satisfait de ces vacances en camper-van en Islande !

Nice easy rental. The van worked great. The heat was fast to warm up. The stove top was so convenient and easy to take outside if we wanted. The gas mileage on the van was impressive. The van was comfortable for two adults. My only little complaint was that our particular van did not have chargers in the back to plug into. We made it work with a portable battery at night so all was well. I would use them again

We have been very satisfied with our experience with the happy camper minivan. The initial setup, checkin and return were easy. The accessories were sufficient for our needs, a bit sad we didn't have any calm day so we could try to use the chairs and table outside. The onboard wifi was so useful (almost magical, seemed to work better than at home, from just about everywhere on the ring road)
The van did eventually show a warning light (check injection), and the cooler stopped working on the last night (loose connection), so it didn't really affect us, and thus I cannot comment on how service would have handled the situation if it would have been an issue. But overall, I got the feeling that the team is very friendly and would have made the best for the clients.
Would rent again from happy camper!

Everything from getting picked up at the airport to dropping the camper van off out of hours went smoothly. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, so I didn't get to meet many staff members, but the ones I did were lovely and very helpful.
I rented the Happy 1 EX, it handled everything way better than expected considering how bumpy some of the dirt roads are. It was comfortable to sleep in and well-equipped with cooking equipment and with useful features like cruise control and speed limiting.
Next time I come to Iceland, I won't be looking anywhere other than Happy Campers.

Had a great experience with Happy Campers from start to finish. We rented the Happy 2 van for a road trip on the ring road. The van was easy to use, clean, and very comfortable for two people and their luggage. The van had plenty of storage space for use throughout our trip. Our favorite storage feature was a compartment above the driver/passenger that easily fit small bags, purses, cameras and everything else we needed to access throughout the day. The mini fridge was a great size for 3 days worth of food for two people, the kitchen was stocked with ample utensils and both a pot and pan. It was a breeze cooking meals for two. The bedding provided was very comfortable and warm (one pillow was bumpy so if you are sensitive to this I would recommend bringing a small travel pillow or do what we did and wrap the pillow in a blanket for additional comfort). The van is equipped with a very nice gas heater that made cold nights better than our camp neighbors in a roof tent or ground tent. We had no problems getting the van to a comfortable temperature quickly each night. The van was also much for fuel efficient than I was expecting and we averaged 30-33 miles per gallon (this was a nice surprise since we saved money on fuel). The customer service at happy campers was fantastic. The team there picked up and dropped us off at the airport which made arrival and departure a breeze. They also sent weather alerts to us during our trip which allowed us to make quick decisions around large (and potentially hazardous) weather patterns. In a place like Iceland this is very helpful! Our only minor complaint was that the French press mugs we got did not produce enough coffee quickly. We soon abandoned the fresh coffee for instant and had a much better experience. Of course we are Americans and can't go without a few cups to start our day
