The van was equipped with everything required for our travels, the staff are super friendly and attentive and we honestly couldn't have imagined a better way to explore the beauty of Iceland. Thank you Happy Campers for making a life long dream come true. We will be back and our first choice will be Happy Campers.

We rented our campervan for seven days. It was a top-rated rental company as the shuttle did not have enough room for other customers. Van was clean and easy to use. If you can get the rental tablet with the wifi, you don’t need a SIM card for your cell phone.
Friendly customer service. It was pretty busy when we checked in. I had to wait an hour or so to pick up the rental. I would not suggest booking any tours right after you land if you are in a hurry.

10/10, 5 STARS, HAPPY CAMPERS WAS THE BEST! Just got back from 2 epic weeks in our 4x4 3pax. This trip was for our elopement in Iceland and was absolutely perfect. The bed was comfy, the kitchenette was fully stocked and the sink with water was a great addition. We cooked about 80% of our meals in the van and never ran into any issues with the cooking utensils/tools, propane or stove.
We’ve actually talked about coming back for a westfjords only trip in the future as this was our favorite area of Iceland!

I had a great experience on my two-week-long solo trip around Iceland with Happy Campers. Even though I had one of the older (or as they call it, "experienced") cars, there were no issues with it and I felt perfectly safe the whole time. It was absoltely worth it to pay for an extra sleeping bag because the nights can get cold in September. Less so for a table and chair, I barely needed those.

Great choice to rent a campervan in Iceland! Our Nissan /Happy 1 EX/ is enough to spend here days and nights during your trip. I can recomend it.
Service, shuttle, everything fine. Before departure, there is an opportunity to go through the belongings of previous campers and take something (salt, sugar, peanut butter, etc.), I appreciate that it is not thrown away. The car is comfortable for sleeping two slim people, the heating works well and served us well in the cold evenings. The only minus is the kitchen equipment, the pan was peeled and the lid did not fit the pot. Fortunately, we only boiled water, we had our own food.
They have their own campsite here to spend the night, for me it's just an emergency if you need to return the car early in the morning.
Next time I would prefer a 4x4 drive, but the Happy Camper agency as such is great and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The vans have everything you need for a comfortable stay and to enjoy your holydays!
We have a small issue with the van and they help us to solve it very quickly

Super pleased with our Happy Camper rental. We opted for a more "experienced" camper van. It definitely had some kms under its belt, but it saved us some dollars and suited our trip around north & west Iceland just fine.

It was the trip of a lifetime that couldn’t have been done without Happy Camper. The only recommendation I have is to bring/buy a mattress pad if staying for longer trips but really it was amazing. There is no better way to see Iceland than with happy camper. Renting was easy and hassle free. Check in/out and transfers were great. Happy Camper has you covered. Thanks Happy Camper

Great time! Highly recommend Happy Camper and camping around Iceland as the best way to experience all the beautiful landscape touring the Ring Rd. Happy Camper also brought our personal pillow to the airport after we forgot it in the Camper van.

Travelled the Ring Road in a Happy Campers van in September 2023 and could not be more happy. We opted for hotel pickup, and it did take some time (~3 hours) to be picked up, transported to facility, and get settled into our rental. However, it was a busy morning and employees were sure to let us know how much longer we had to wait and were apologetic. The van itself was in great condition and performed well for our needs. All equipment worked well the duration of our trip. Upon taking the return shuttle to the airport at the end of our trip, I forgot my cell phone in the shuttle. I called the office and they were so helpful coordinating with my driver, Benjamin, who came all the way back to the airport to deliver my phone to me. These folks go above and beyond with customer service, have a hassle-free booking process, and are super friendly. Would definitely travel around Iceland with a Happy Campers rental again.

Wonderful experience for our 8 day camper van trip! Even our two year old loved it. The experience was great from start to finish with the airport shuttle pick ups and assisting me with getting a taxi at the end of their work day on drop off. The van's amenities, especially the overnight heater, worked very well for what we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Happy Camper experience. The Happy 1 worked perfectly for our 10 day Ring Road trip. The check-out and check-in process at the Happy Camper office was easy. We appreciated the orientation that was given regarding how the van worked. Thank you for the shuttle service to and from the airport. Thank you for the comfortable. bedding too. So cozy and warm! We have already recommended Happy Camper to our friends and family.

Great customer service and friendly helpfull staff. We got picked up at our hotel exactly on time with the happy shuttle. At the happy camper headquarters they gave us all the instructions and explained us we could take anything from the sharing cabinet which is truly amazing to get started. We got our camper and all the instructions. They checked the van for damage with us so we had proof if any new damage would happen later on. Unfortunately our first van gave us a system failure and we had to return. We quickly got helped and they got us a new van. They also refunded a day of our trip. The campervan is equipped fully and all works well. The heating system is a really great add on for the cold nights. They also offer as many extra blankets as you wish to stay warm. Also the van has a great working fridge. The van drove really well. When we returned they checked all with us and then brought us back to the airport with the shuttle.

We have booked the Happy 3 van for 4 people during a week. We have took the happiest bundle with the premium insurance and it was perfect with all the extra you want.
We have done our tour in November and with the heater we didn't feel the cold once with the premium sleeping bag supplied (even too hot haha) !
Discount of 30% in some gas station of Iceland very cool.
I 100% recommend and will go back in summer !

We recently rented a camper van for our 10 day trip in Iceland. Inga was our check-out and also our check-in person. We had the 5-person, auto camper van which was perfect for us. It gave us extra room for storage and on bad weather days we were able to stay inside to cook our meals. Inga was very knowledgeable and gave us a thorough review of the operation of this particular van. It was a bonus that they picked us up at the airport and also gave us a free shuttle back to the airport on our departure day. Really the only negative in regards to the camper van itself was the wifi pad that comes with the van. The wifi worked the entire trip, but it had difficulty charging and some days it was impossible to download directions. We had our phone and a map so it wasn't a big deal but frustrating at times. Inga explained on our check-in that they were trying to get the pads updated and that had been taking a lot of time. We would definitely utilize Happy Campers again on our next trip to Iceland.

This is the best way to make the iceland experience your own! You don't have to return to your hotel every night, this allows you to see and experience so much more !! Great company to deal with! Absolutely no regrets using Happy Campers for our adventure in Iceland. My husband and I rented a Happy 2 and had plenty of space. The whole process was just very easy and all of the staff members we encountered were so informative, and just genuinely cool people. Benjamin and Bjarki were awesome and I wish I could recall the names of the two women that helped us at the desk, but they were great too. The wifi hotspot and tablet are an absolute must. Besides the convenience of the wifi, using the navigation system on the tablet turned out to be a necessity as me narrating directions for my husband proved to be impossible with my inability to pronounce most of the Icelandic street names. With the tablet mounted to the windshield, he could visualize distances and the names of the streets himself. If you opt to rent a table and chairs, make sure to test them out before you leave as you pick them out yourself and I picked a broken chair but didn't realize it at first. That's on me though! Also the inverter we rented through them didn't work, but that also wasn't a big deal as we really only needed to charge our phones. Overall, we were so happy with our experience and when we come back to Iceland we will absolutely use Happy Campers again! Thank you!!

Our experience with the EX1 was great! Very essential, but it was like a moving home for two weeks! We would suggest integrating some shelves in the sides of the van, so as to have a bit more storage, but everything else was perfect and portable! Thank you Happy Campers family (also Svetlana if I remember her name correctly, who checked us in and gave us loooots of very useful information and also got us to the airport on our last day after checking out!) :-) We have surely recommended Happy Campers to all our friends asking us details on our Iceland vacation!

We did a 10 days round trip with a Happy 1 EX van. The price was good and the van comfortable enough for our purpose. Everybody in Happy Campers were really nice to us and helped with a small problem we had with the battery for the fridge and the heater of the back part of the van. They even gave as a 2 day refund for the inconvenience without even asking for it. So thank you very much for everything guys! 100% recommended
P.S: I really recommend getting the gravel insurance if you are planning to get even a few meters out of the ring road.

Our van was so great to have during our road trip around Iceland! Airport shuttle service was nice to have, and the Happy Camper office is such a cheerful space. Check out the interactive TV and informational brochures while you’re there! Jón was super helpful during check-in and check-out too. Would definitely recommend Happy Campers to anyone visiting Iceland!

What a great experience! My fiance and I rented a van from happy camper and drove around the ring road. Traveling via van offers an amazing amount of flexibility (especially seeing as you do not need reservations at campgrounds in iceland) - we were able to modify our trip daily to spend more/less time wherever we wanted! The van drives well, has a great kitchen setup, and a very comfortable bed! An added bonus is the wifi/gps that happy camper provides!! Only tip is to check to be sure all of your add-ons are in the van prior to leaving - we left the depot with chairs or a table and were too far on our journey to turn back! Overall - HIGHLY recommend!
