Everything was perfect. When we arrived Sofia pickup us at the airport and then explain us everything about the campervan, really nice and helpful.. The campervan was in good condition. The heater work perfectly. Everything was just perfect. Definitely will come back again.

I really enjoyed my stay in a Happy Campers van. I originally took the smallest and least expensive van, but after two days realized a larger van would be more comfortable. Munch and Benjamin at Happy Campers made the transition smooth for me. Luckily there were two vans left and I took the largest (Yellow) van and loved the space! The vans are a bit beat up and need some work (mine had multiple indicator lights going off and warning signals), but served me well for the 6 days I had it.

Happy Campers was wonderful. Our van came fully equipped and the heater kept us very warm during chilly nights. I would definitely recommend them for anyone wanting to drive the ring road.

We used Happy Campers for our 11day trip on Iceland's ring road and it was an amazing experience. The entire process from booking until dropping off the vehicle is incredibly smooth and you can tell that they really thought it through. After you have initially reserved the van, you log into their site and create your itinerary for Iceland online. Upon pick-up, this digital plan is then easily transferred onto the tablet which the van comes with. Btw, the tablet also acts as a hotspot (major win). In their office you have the chance of taking items which previous customers have left (paper towels, a pack of soup, salt etc). This is incredibly helpful! We had the Happy 1 van. It is the smallest vehicle and offers just enough space for two but make sure to pack lightly. During the journey, you can stay in contact with the team via the tablet and communication remains smoothly. Would definitely do Happy Campers again! And if you book in advance, you might get a better deal even!

We are really satisfied with the service that happy campers has provided! I will recommend it to all my friends&family who are planning a visit to Iceland and we will definitely use the services again once we return to finish our circle, the northern part of Iceland. The lady who picked us up and also dropped us at the airport was super helpful and friendly! She handed over the camper on the first day and really patiently explained everything and answered to all our questions. All in all: 5 stars!

It was amazing. Wouldn't travel Iceland any other way. The camper was well insulated and had everything we needed for the road/camping. The happiest bundle was worth the extra bit to travel with peace of mind and wi-fi on the road. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Amazing experience with Happy Campers! The process from booking to check-in, to being on the road, and returning the van all went extremely smoothly. The van had everything we needed for a roadtrip around the ring road, had a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, and had the best prices for campervans that we could find. Highly recommend going with Happy Campers if you're wanting to rent a van in Iceland. They were so helpful and a great rental service!

I made a mistake in my booking dates and Benjamin was so helpful in getting it corrected - no fuss at all. Was able to get money back for a day I was not even going to be in Iceland. He was also very helpful upon arrival during the checkin process and getting us set up with our camper.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first time in Iceland. I would not want to explore the country any other way! The tablets they provide are so helpful for Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, finding places to see, places to camp, etc.
If I got to do it all over again, I’d choose happy campers without hesitation!

The van had all the essentials - heater, fridge, running water, wifi and gps, to make me feel comfortable and safe travelling around Iceland by myself for a week. Very friendly staff at the office. Would choose happy campers again.

I cannot stress enough how happy I am with my rental with HappyCampers. They are extremely nice, helpful and very on point with the communication during our stay. We had some hiccups with the van but they were able to get it fixed quickly. The van was stocked up with everything you need for a family of 4. The van made the Iceland trip even better.
Even before the start of my trip I was in constant touch with Benjamin and he helped me a lot through the process and also during the rental period.
In all I am extremely happy with Happy Campers and would do highly recommend them to anyone.

We really were happy campers with Happy Campers, even with the tight squeeze of two people. Our Happy Camper Auto 1 was a great way to tour Iceland. Happy Campers' Google map of the campgrounds made it easier to plot our options in advance. The team was super friendly and provided all the information we needed to use the van properly. We could never get the sliding doors open from the inside, so I would suggest giving them a try when picking up the van. Their chat support attempted to assist us as best as possible and offered for a mechanic to help, but trying to coordinate an appointment while on the move was challenging, so we decided to make due. Upon returning the van, Benjamin could open the doors from the inside, so there must have been some trick we didn't know about.
We weren't sure how comfortable the bed would be, so we brought our inflatable camping pads and glad we did! It made our stay much more comfortable.
I highly recommend renting from Happy Campers to tour Iceland. It truly is the best way to see this beautiful country.

We travel around Iceland in a camper van for 17 days. The customer service was top notch from pickup to drop off. We had an issue with the heater but they made it right in the end. Couldn’t have been more happy with the service we received. We would use them again.

Our experience with Happy Campers was great from beginning to end.
We received friendly email reminders of our booking including tips on what to pack, friendly shuttle service from the airport and were greeted with smiles and jokes about not driving the van into the sea due to insurance restrictions :)
We encountered a flat tire on our trip but thanks to the tire insurance the cost of repair would be refunded to us - highly recommend tire insurance!
Easy and painless process all around! We will definitely be using Happy Campers on our next trips to Iceland.

Had a very good experience with Happy Campers. Of course renting a van in Iceland is never really cheap (*nothing* in Iceland is cheap except water), but HC is still relatively affordable and transparent about the costs. Staff was very friendly and took the time explaining everything, we even had a very last minute request accomodated while on our trip. The office is more than just a rental desk, they really made it into a great starting off point for travelling around Iceland with maps, coupons, tips and even a lot of "leftovers" from previous campers (including ours, now). We rented the smallest van which worked for two people riding around the ring road - a bit cramped with all our luggage but we got used to that pretty quickly. The woodwork looks a little DIY but does the job well. It was well equipped and pretty economical with fuel, so perfect for our 11 day trip. Only clear downside is that it was not isolated, so without the heater on (which we only used sparingly - other people used it much more) it did get quite cold a couple of nights - I don't know if it's better for the bigger ones. But in general, if you want to traverse the ring road definitely consider HC. Oh, and do take additional insurance - we had the happier bundle and it was really a load off our minds.

I rented a Happy Camper Auto1 campervan for a solo Ring Road trip around Iceland. I had a fantastic experience overall. The camper had everything that I needed. When I had questions along the way, the Happy Camper staff was very attentive and helpful. It was honestly an experience of a lifetime and I already miss my little red camper! I would highly recommend renting from happy Camper!!

Awesome place to rent a camper van for the ring road trip! We rented the Happy 1 with an insurance package and a few extras such as BBQ grill, table and chairs, etc. The cost came out to less than $200 per day, which we thought was pretty good considering it was transportation and lodging in one happy package. The van was clean and well stocked, and we had no issues.
The Happy 1 is very compact, and required a little maneuvering at bedtime, as the bed takes up the entire back of the camper. We ended up having to put our suitcase in the front overnight to get it out of the way. Wasn’t bad for us, but if you want a little more space you may want to go with a bigger option. I would recommend not getting many extras, as there is not a lot of storage space. We probably wouldn’t bother with a grill if we go again, as most food can be cooked on the included camping stove.
The staff was competent and very pleasant to deal with. We appreciated the free shuttle to/from Keflavik Airport. We’d definitively use Happy Campers again if/when we return to Iceland!
