We had a great experience with Happy Campers! Liljana (the clerk from Croatia) was so helpful and patient in getting us set up with everything we needed. She really went the extra mile. The van was reliable and got us around Iceland comfortably!

Friendly staff, surprisingly comfortable bed in the camper.
Everything we needed was included: bedding, wi-fi, kitchenware etc. We always use Google Maps to navigate but the tablet they provided with GPS was still handy.
Mechanically the van seemed to be in great condition and the heating could turn the van into a volcano, in case you like that sort of thing. We typically only needed to run it for about an hour before going to bed then we were fine with the provided blankets until the morning.
Can't complain. Would use again.

We just got back from 16 days with the happy camper and we could not have be more pleased with the van (green monster) and the service they provided. It was perfect for a trip around the ring round. Having access to water at all times, free wifi, fridge, and much more, it was just what we needed. Krist was great helping us get all checked in and explaining all the details. Munch checked us out and was very helpful getting us to our next location. I would highly recommend using happy campers in the future!! Thank you for making our trip one to remember.

Not only was I able to find an affordable camper on short notice with them, the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful. They made sure my pickup to and from the airport went off without a hitch. The van is well stocked with any basic supplies you could need along your journey. Will definitely book with them again!

Excellent customer service! I loved the tablet with the built in GPS and FREE WiFi Hotspot! The tablet comes with many pre-planned trip itineraries. No need to stop on the side of the road to figure out where your going! Would definitely recommend!

Had a great experience with our happy camper. The only letdown was that our van (Happy 1 Auto) did not have cruise control. We weren't promised it so I can't really take a star off or anything but it was something that I assumed. The free wifi has great and the whole experience was excellent as a whole.

I rented a camper van in July for a 4 day driving tour of the Golden Circle and the south part of Ring Road, and I'm SO. HAPPY. that I went through Happy Campers! I saw them praised highly on a travel blog, and wow, I cannot say enough positive things about my experience! The online rental process is simple- everything is laid out and it's super easy to make choices based on your trip. Happy Campers website was also super informative in terms of recommendations for things to do and campsites. The staff were super helpful and accommodating when I needed to make a change to my booking, which I appreciated, and the free airport shuttle was wonderful and convenient! Getting the van was breezy, too. The actual driving and sleeping was SO much fun, too! The van had everything I needed and more, and it never felt like I was "roughing it". The included wifi hotspot and navigator made finding my way on the road so simple and easy, too.
My experience camping in a van was so great that it's the only way I'll do Iceland in the future, and I can't stop talking to my friends about how cool it was! Happy Campers is so, so helpful and such a great resource that while there may be a ton of rental companies in Iceland, I'll only ever consider Happy Campers for future travels :)

Recommend this, we got the happiest bundle for peace of mind and the included items (we took a table, two chairs, French press, and speaker) with the Happy 1 auto. Was enough for a 8 day for 2 people, if going longer I’d suggest getting a bigger vehicle or hotel for a night to break it up. The water reservoir tube was more difficult to remove to refill than expected

My wife and I just returned from visiting Iceland. We rented a small camper van from Happy Campers which helped make our visit even more fun and adventurous. The sleeping in the van was extremely comfortable. We appreciated having the information tablet which doubled as a wifi hotspot. The van had a great, tight turning radius, which proved invaluable in parking lots, narrow roads, and small towns. The staff at Happy Campers were professional, courteous, and friendly. We recommend anyone considering renting a camper van to check out Happy Campers.

Just spent 8 nights in Iceland in a Happy Camper 1 and had the best experience! We lucked out and had fabulous weather so we weren’t couped up in the camper other than driving and sleeping but it perfectly suited our needs. Staff was friendly and helpful. 5 stars!

Sehr zuvorkommend. Wegen der Pandemie mussten wir unsere Reise verschieben und unsere Buchung wurde ohne Probleme solange auf Eis gelegt, bis wir wieder verreisen können.
Zu den Autos kann ich noch nichts sagen, aber die Bilder sehen sehr vielversprechend aus.

Very happy with my trip. If you’re visiting for Icelands nature and want to support local business, this is the way to go. They offer airport pick up/drop off and the vans are fully equipped with cooktop, sink, and pullout couch. The employees are all extremely nice and helpful as well!

This was my first experience traveling in a camper and I truly recommend it. We rented the Happy 3 EX and we were 2 people so we had plenty of space and we were super comfortable in our 10-day roadtrip in Iceland ❤️

It started out rough but it all worked out at the end.
We got the Happy 1 Auto with the Happiest Bundle for piece of mind for 4 days. We went straight to the Blue Lagoon which is approximately 15 minutes away and spent about 3 hours there. On our way back to the camper van we discovered a flat tire. Unfortunately, the spare tire underneath the vehicle was ‘busted’! We called the hotline, and 2 guys (Can’t remember their names but they were great) came out, drove us back to head quarters and gave us a new van, then we went on our way. Great 3 days after. Van drove great. Made about 1100km and cost about $230 Cdn for diesel. When we returned the camper van, Benjamin who helped us, refunded us a day for our troubles. Great customer service! I would use them again next time we visit Iceland, however, we would likely get the Happy 2 for more room!

We rent a campervan for 13 days. It was great. I really love it. The people at Happy Camper are very nice. My only complain is that the camper could be newer. Also, it didn't have a tap like in the videos. It was a water hand pump. But those are just details. We totally recomend it. It was great to have a sink to clean dishes whereever we were. Also being able to cook inside is a big plus.

We had our happy campervan for 23 days and got to see almost all of Iceland's beauties,the van was ever so reliable ,no breakdowns happened and we got the Happy2ex which was the older version .plenty of room for me and my husband ..we will surely miss being on the road with the van .

Everything was good. I have researched almost all the campers in Island and the campers from Happy Campers' have the best design. We have rented Happy 1 Auto, a VW Caddy Maxi. They have sink, heaters etc and a very compact design. the legroom was more than sufficient for a person like me (180 cm).
The only think I can complain is the confusing insurance policy. The insurances are based on what is covered. We have the happiest level and it should have zero deductable, but the customer representative during the pick up told us even with this level there are some exceptions, which are not clear from our perspective. For example underbody damage. I understood that there is a risk that driver might use dirt roads with road car, but those damages can also occur on normal roads. These exceptions should be clarified.
