Sam's technique solved issues of prey behavior by our dog towards the new cat. There were also uncontrolled problems with the dog that were quickly brought in line. The level we finally settled on was fairly priced and the trainer assigned, Joel, was dedicated and professional. And, as to methods involving the prong collar and e-collar, they are effective and not the least bit abusive of the dog despite the bad press they receive. Proper and educated use of these tools turned our dog around in the first two days. Sam Ivy is one of the best in the business. Now, the new cat owns the dog.

Best decision I could have made. I have a Catahoula Leopard dog, Rango, with fear based aggression and was desperate when I called as giving my dog up was not an option. Alexis was the trainer assigned to me and was the perfect fit. She has a great calm personality that helps you relax in what at the beginning is not relaxing at all an aggressive dog. She quickly became a member of the pack and was loved by all my dogs. Most importantly she taught me how to better understand my dogs issues and how to manage them. I followed her instructions and Rango became a calmer happier dog. I can take him out without fear of not knowing what might happen. He is still frightened of things he is not sure of but instead of lashing out he takes a step back which allows me the time to adjust. Alexis was great with scheduling as well, during days I could not meet early she would accommodate to my schedule. I'm very grateful to have gone through the training with Alexis she's the best. Major props to Sam Ivy for having qualified trainer it truly makes all the difference.

Our puppy "Sam" was added to our family for the sole intent on becoming a Service Dog/Companion for our 12 yr. old ASD daughter. As soon as we could we started taking him everywhere and exposing him to everything. To "polish" him off and make things official as we are not dog trainers and really didn't know the do's and don'ts we hired Sam Ivy K9 Consultants and they sent us Gina. Gina is kind, caring, understanding and was not only fabulous with Sam and his training but became a good friend to our family. The teaching techniques and lessons were so useful and all my concerns and questions were always addressed. If you are looking for a Service Dog trainer or help with obedience do not hesitate to call. Gina is the best by far so be sure to ask for her, you won't be disappointed. ~ The Petosa Family

You get a dog trained to not just make your life better, but their’s as well... and Samy ivy is the best program to accomplish this! What an amazing organization, centered around the true building blocks of a dogs foundation in order to correct a series of bad behaviors. I searched every where for a perfect trainer for my Loki, but nothing worked. He knew all the commands in the book, however he didn’t respect me enough and chose when to ignore them. He had a series of bad behaviors including barking, jumping, and high anxiety/energy. It was getting to the point where my girlfriend and I couldn’t even take him on a walk because he was so hyper. I called Sam Ivy K9 and they paired me up with Blas, the perfect trainer for Loki. Ive never met a trainer like Blas, so experienced and so professional. Upon first meeting Loki I knew he was going to make our lives better. Where Blas really shined is his ability to not only find the best methods for correcting Loki’s behavior but also when it came to educating us as the owners. He taught us in a way that made sense, and was always available to answer any questions we had night or day! If it wasn’t for Blas, idk where we’d be.
Truly can’t thank Blas and the Sam Ivy program enough. Loki has done a complete 180 and with that, he’s truly enjoying life so much more. Now I can take him on runs, bring him with us to lunch spots, and have the ability to take him anywhere. In the past we were forced to keep this energetic goof ball at home, but now, he’s always at our side. Thank you Blas for truly changing ours and our dogs life!
