We have 4 dogs in our home so it is constant chaos the majority of the time as none had any formal training. Our youngest is a boxer who is 8 months old and new to the pack. We had two attacks between our boxer and one of our other dogs, a frenchton who is 3 years old. Our Frenchton has always been on the anxious side and jealous but I never thought in a million years he would attack our new pup as they had been playing normally for 4 months prior to these incidents. I panicked after the second attack and was ready to just give the puppy away in fear that they could never live in the same home together peacefully. In a last ditch effort, I decided to reach out to our vet for her recommendation and she suggested Sam Ivy. I was very hesitant with the whole virtual training but I have to say, it was convenient and worked just like have a physical person in our home. We had Gina as our trainer and she provided us with a wealth of information and encouragement throughout the whole process. She was always available for any questions we may have and continues to be available even though our classes are complete. We are astonished at the changes in our dogs behavior in such a short amount of time. Are they perfect? No, but with continued practice with the skills Gina provided we will get even better. I think the self confidence I gained from the training is worth the money alone. I was afraid to be alone with my dogs in fear that another incident would happen and I’d have zero control. But now I feel I’m in control and the dogs view me as a leader. We will eventually train our other 2 dogs through the course and hopefully have a house full of well behaved dogs. I can’t thank Sam Ivy enough, especially Gina for helping our family get through this difficult time.
