The ambience is good. The food choices and preps are skinny and healthy. If you are not the type of person of healthy choices then this place may not be for you.

Very healthy and interesting dishes. The restaurant is beautiful and airy. Oddly enough, the hamburger is great, along with the hummus. A friend got the curry and said it was spicy but tasty. Drinks are good, too. Park in the blue garage for quick access.

Delicious wholesome food... But a bit pricey for what you get as far as portions.

They were short staffed at the bar and we did wait ten to fifteen minutes before being greeted. He was super busy running service well by himself and bar. I really enjoyed when he got to us made amazing drinks and suggested good bites to eat. Food was good but I was wondering if they will open the menu up to other options

Watermelon lemonade wasn't overwhelmingly sugary, nicely refreshing, and the turkey burger was well-seasoned, they got my modifications correct. I do wish they offered ice water, but otherwise, service was excellent.

If you want healthy food options this is your place! No soft drinks or fried foods on the menu. Reasonable prices and the Watermelon Mohito was delicious! Also enjoyed the chicken panini.

I normally avoid this restaurant on the weekends because of the wait. But I was delightfully surprised to be seated right away. I tried the spring menu options as they were on the last week. Crusted Cauliflower Tahini was amazing! And my go-to Edamame Guacamole dip was a great starter. Very surprised by the generous portion of the Chicken Panini.

TFK is a welcome addition to the Reston area. Visited twice. Well designed and pleasant setting. Prompt greeting from staff and our servers. Selections for vegetarians (!) as well as meat eaters. A varied beverage menu. Challenges can be what to choose. Only suggestion (complaint) music is too loud. It was turned to a more pleasant level after 2 requests. One must speak with a raised voice. (The reason for 4 stars) Would happily visit again- soon.

Had been excited to eat at this chain since I walked by it in Annapolis, so while I was staying here for a work trip I thought it’s kismet I should do it! I’ll start off by saying it’s wasn’t actively bad by any means, but if I’m paying $70 for two entree’s and an appetizer, I would like it to be a) an experience/fantastic service, b) exquisite food, or c) both.. and this was honestly neither. The service was meh and the waitress just didn’t seem engaged or too attentive to the water situation sitting outside on an early august day at 5pm The food was fancy ingredients but I want to say like Panera level preparations for some of the items. We got the street corn and the corn cobs were just dried, small and knobbly slathered in butter- no bite or kick, needed more lime.. I understand they can’t control the corn crop lol but at least advise “this item is better at xyz time or our supplier didn’t have the best crop this week” idk.. but it was halfway between corn on the cob and those dried out Halloween cobs you put on the porch. The poke bowl was interesting in concept but lacked depth in flavor and needed some doctoring. I was expecting elements of umami and maybe some sweetness but all I got was fish and heat, and the forbidden rice was not cooked properly- I even googled forbidden rice while eating it to check if I was crazy. Sandwich was ok but over priced, but the sweet potato hash was mushy and we didn’t bother to finish it even though I was stupid hungry after being at a fitness conference all day. Summary: great concept but lackluster execution.. if money is a non issue for you, there’s lots of cool menu items but none of the ones we got blew our off ‍♀️

We went on a Saturday night and the food was delicious but the service was slow. It took 30 minutes to get drinks and water. Possibly short staffed that day.

I had lunch today along with 9 others at our reserved table at the Reston True Food Kitchen. We all had very good meals but the service was seriously lacking. One person ordered lasagna and it was delivered to the table promptly; the problem was the other 9 of us waited about 20 minutes for the various salad, soup, burgers and pizzas to arrive. This is absolutely unacceptable. At any restaurant all entrees should be served at the same time for a group, and the server should know who ordered what. Think how that one person felt. She actually was done eating by the time the rest were served. Another point: I specifically asked the greeter at the entry for parking vouchers for our group; she only had one but would try to get more from her manager. After the meal, I asked again. She forgot about the request but did then contact the manager who said they were out of the vouchers. We are only talking about a couple of dollars each, but the point is: take care of your customers if you want them to return. There is no parking guidance on their web site.

The food here is great and very allergy friendly. But this doesn't do much for the customer when the wait staff can't figure out how to take an order or bring the food to the table. I have made several pickup orders and a few dine-in meals. Every time I have to wait at least 20 minutes past the pickup time for the takeout orders, and the last time I dined in I waited a good twenty minutes for the waiter to take my order. Couldn't seem to understand how to take the order. The manager had to come and take the order and then we waited over 45 minutes to receive our food. At that time the restaurant had maybe 3 other tables with people. I would love to keep eating here, but unfortunately I don't have all the time in the world or the patience to deal with the wait staff at this location.

One of our favorites often has service that is disjointed. A server issue, or an organization issue? 20 min wait to get water and 10 more for wine. Appetizers arrive before wine. No silverware to eat appetizers with. We ask another server for help. Never have this issue at same restaurant in the Mosaic district.
