Did you know Quail Forever has helped conserve over 229,000 acres of land through our BAWA program? That’s a huge win for habitat, and has big implications for quail. Here’s how it works: In high-quality habitat, the home range of a bobwhite quail covey is about 40 acres. While not all BAWA land occurs in quail country, that many acres has the potential to support over 5,500 coveys of quail! It shows that with proper conservation efforts, we can create landscapes that support thousands of thriving coveys!
