Today, Cullman Police Department officers received an early Christmas gift by serving families in our community during the 11th annual Shop with a Cop event. It is an honor to put smiles on these children’s faces while also blessing all of the officers and volunteers involved. This year, we were proud to shop with sixteen amazing kids, making this event even more special. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day unforgettable! Thank you to our sponsors: Butch and Mary Mize, Garrison Gives Hope, Cullman Lions Club, Mullins Body Shop, Premier Bank of the South, and Doug Doggett Jewelers.

In Memoriam: Officer Jack Springer This week, the Cullman Police Department mourns the loss of one of our most cherished retired officers, Jack Springer. Jack served our community as a reserve officer for more than fifty years, from June 1, 1968, to December 31, 2019. His dedication, kindness, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to work alongside him. Jack was a true pleasure to work with and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The Cullman Police Department extends our heartfelt condolences to Jack’s family during this difficult time. Please join us in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers as they celebrate his remarkable life and legacy.

As the holiday season approaches, the Cullman Police Department urges residents to be vigilant about rising scam attempts, particularly those involving major shipping carriers like USPS, UPS, FedEx, and online retailers like Amazon. If you receive a suspicious email, text, or phone call claiming to be from any of these entities, contact the Cullman Police Department at 256-734-1434 before responding or sending any money. Do not send funds to the potential scammers without first verifying the legitimacy of the request with the police. Being proactive can help protect you from falling victim to holiday-related fraud.
