The Cullman Police Department would like to congratulate, Officer Zane Pounders, for successfully completing Traffic Homicide Investigation parts one and two. Officer Pounders will now be assigned to the Cullman Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit. The Cullman Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit is a specialized investigative unit that responds to and investigates life-threatening injury crashes and fatal crashes.

HAPPENING NOW: This is the current scene at Cullman Shooting Sports, where police have just located Todd Phillips in this wooded area. He had been missing for over 24 hours. Todd is autistic, and had walked all the way from Lakeview Avenue NW to these woods. We would like to thank law enforcement for their hard work in bringing him home safely.

URGENT MISSING PERSON NOTICE: Todd Eric Phillips is reported missing from the area of Lakeview Ave NW on today, May 11th, presumed to have been last in the area between the hours of 5am and 1pm. He was last known to be wearing a black shirt and grey or black colored shorts. Todd is autistic and may not walk the roads and has previously been located walking through wooded areas.

Beginning Monday, May 13, 2024, and through the end of the school year, a portion of 4th Avenue NE between Oak Drive NE and 9th Street NE will be closed due to construction at Cullman Middle School. The traffic pattern for Cullman Middle School will change as a result of this street closing. CMS traffic will turn from 2nd Avenue NE onto 9th Street NE, then turn left onto 4th Avenue NE for drop off, then left onto 10th Street NE, and left again back onto 2nd Avenue NE. If you have questions concerning the temporary Cullman Middle School traffic flow, or traffic flow at neighboring schools, please contact the Police Department at 256-734-1434.
