Today, Chief Duncan and Sheriff Gentry proudly joined forces to represent local law enforcement in the Cullman County Fair Parade. Our Aviation Unit was also in the air — Officers Matt Dean and Justin Turner took to the skies in the helicopter and captured some incredible shots of the parade route and the Oktoberfest grounds from above. We’ll also be sharing some great drone footage from our Aviation Unit later, so stay tuned! It’s always an honor to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in support of our community — whether on the ground or in the air! Thank you to everyone who lined the streets to wave, cheer, and show your support. We’re grateful to serve such an amazing county!

At the Cullman Police Department, our hearts are heavy as we learn of the tragic events in Grand Blanc. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims, their families, and the entire Grand Blanc community. No community is ever truly prepared for such senseless loss, and during times like these, we are reminded of how important it is to stand together in unity, compassion, and support. We grieve alongside our brothers and sisters in law enforcement who are working through unimaginable circumstances, and we pray for strength and healing for all those affected. It’s been a busy and rewarding week for Cullman Police Department’s Community Outreach! We started with another Community Helpers Day at Cullman Primary School, followed by the Senior Health Fair, where we enjoyed connecting with our seniors. On Friday morning, we joined fellow first responders for the Community Helper Parade, then assisted RE Garrison/Garrison Gives Hope in preparing plate lunches for a fundraiser benefiting VOAD Crisis Relief Trailer Fund. We wrapped up Friday at Premier Bank, who graciously hosted and fed first responders during their Customer Appreciation Day. Today, Community Relations Officer Jeff Lawson closed out the weekend at the Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center for the Pilot Club’s Vendor Market.
