We will have our helicopter, a patrol car, a motorcycle, and some stuff to give the kids. Daystar Church will also be there with some fun activities and serving hot dogs!
The Cullman Police Department would like to congratulate Shift 1A Officer Kyle Foshee for completing the (FBI-LEEDA) Supervisor Leadership Institute course.
The FBI-LEEDA Supervisor Leadership Institute (SLI) is a foundational course that helps prepare the next generation of police leaders for their critical first steps in police leadership. Among the modules covered in this course were defining leadership, generational effects of leadership, leadership as a lifestyle, leadership traits building credibility, organizational credibility and four pillars of discipline. Finally, supervisor liability as well as the DISC assessment of their personal leadership style.

This weekend, St. Bernard will host the Bloomin' Festival which attracts people from all over the country. Traffic ALL DAY Saturday and Sunday will be heavy on Hwy 278 in both directions, so you may want to use alternate routes when traveling east or west. Because of the festival, all traffic throughout the city limits will increase, so please use precautions.
The Cullman Police Department has Autism Awareness campaign patches available for purchase again this year!
These colorful patches feature an illustration of a puzzle-piece design to help raise awareness throughout April as part of Autism Awareness Month.
As part of this initiative, the Cullman Police Department is selling these Autism patches.
You can support #autismawareness by purchasing a patch (CASH ONLY) at the police department during business hours Monday-Friday 8am till 4pm. The price of the patch is $10.

Wednesday, March 27th, Cullman Police Department Investigators arrested Adrian Marquise Jones, 40, of Cullman for Attempted Murder. The charge stems from an Incident that took place in the early morning hours of Monday, March 26th at Nesmith Park.
The Cullman Police Department would like to emphasize that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
The Cullman Police Department would also like to thank Autauga County Sheriff's Office, Dallas County Sheriff's Office, Investigators from the Alabama 19th Judicial Circuit, and the Cullman County District Attorney's Office, for their assistance with this case.
This morning around 8:40am, Cullman Police Department Officers attempted to stop a black Toyota Tacoma on Brantley Ave at Waldrop St. NW. The driver of the vehicle, Joshua Wayne Burnett, did not stop for officers and proceeded to lead them on a pursuit that went from Hwy 157 to Hwy 91 in Hanceville when Burnett finally stopped.
Joshua Wayne Burnett, 46, of Jasper was arrested for Reckless Endangerment, Attempting to Elude and Possession of Marijuana 2nd. He also received several traffic citations.
Burnett has multiple misdemeanor warrants from jurisdictions in Alabama, a Felony Receiving Stolen Property Warrant in Marion County, AL, and a Felony Warrant in Mississippi for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
The passenger of the vehicle, Jessica Lee Goodwin, 34, from Anniston, AL, was in Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and had warrants with our jurisdiction but was not arrested due to an injury she received before this incident occurred. Officers transported her to CRMC to seek medical treatment.
