On 11/08/22 Officer Rob Long was dispatched to Peopleβs Bank (5052 AL HWY 157, Cullman, AL 35055), in reference to two subjects in the drive thru attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Officer Long, Officer Chad Ashworth, and Officer Jacob Eiland responded. Officer Long spoke with the occupants of the vehicle later identified as: Kimberly Campbell and Bradley Garner. Officer Long was able to gather information of a possible crime and Investigator Sgt. Zach Latham was also investigating another fraud case involving Campbell and Garner in which he had already obtained warrants for their arrest. Campbell and Garner were arrested and taken to the Cullman Police Department for interviews. The on-call Investigator Sgt. Trey Higginbotham was able to gain enough information for a search warrant of the residence Cambell and Garner were living in. The Cullman Police Department's Investigation Division conducted a search warrant at the residence of Campbell and Garner, where they recovered multiple forgery devices, forged instruments, social security cards, and approximately 29 grams of Methamphetamine. Campbell and Garner were charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, forgery, possession of forged instruments, possession of a forgery device, and may have additional charges as the investigation continues. The Cullman Police Department would like to commend all of the officers involved and appreciate their dedication to protecting the citizens of Cullman. Both Cambell and Garner are both still incarcerated at the he Cullman County Detention Center.

Recently we have had some attempted and successful vehicle break-ins. Please do not leave any personal items in your car and LOCK YOUR DOORS. In the video below the suspect(s) are going from house to house trying to open car doors. Use caution if you decide to approach any subject attempting to break into your car. Notice that the subject opening the door appears to be holding a firearm in his right hand. (These subjects were subsequently caught). On Thursday November 3rd, Lt Scott Sanford, Lt Eric Cole and I, Sgt Adam Clark, had the opportunity to participate in the Career Showcase at Wallace State College, along with Cullman City Communications and Cullman Fire and Rescue. Thanks to Paige Clabo from the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce for the invitation.
This morning at approximately10:38am, Jarod Moon 33 yrs. old from Warrior Alabama was struck by a train at 1st Ave and 4th St SE. Moon was still conscious and subsequently flown to UAB. Thank you to the Cullman Police Department, Cullman EMS and Cullman Fire and Rescue for their quick response.

If you were at the Cullman Police Department last night for trunk or treat, you may have seen School Resource Officer Seth Sullivan sporting a pink badge and a pink patch. Well, now you can own one of those pink patches and support a great cause.
The Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this devastating disease. As part of this initiative, the Cullman Police Department is selling these pink patches. Proceeds from the sales of these patches will go directly to benefit cancer research and treatment. (Suan G. Komen of Alabama). You can support the #PinkPatchProject by purchasing a patch (CASH ONLY) at the police department during business hours Monday- Friday 8am till 4pm. The price of the patch is $10.

Earlier this month Chief Kenny Culpepper, Assistant Chief David Nassetta, Captain Jeff Warnke and myself, Sgt Adam Clark got the honor to be waiters at the Little Pink Dress Event hosted by the Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation. We appreciate the opportunity to serve such a great cause and really appreciate Ms. Rita Bailey with the Cullman Police Department, for reserving two tables for our family and friends to attend.
