We had a great experience with Happy Camper. This was our first camper van trip and found it to be delightful. After some initial research we landed on Happy Camper. I found their pricing structure and offered amenities to be just the right combination for our family. The van worked great and was comfortable for a family of 4 over a 7 day trip. They even offered flexible rides to and from the airport at no extra charge. Would definitely rent from them again.

Vehicle wise, happy with the van. Everything is fine Keep us warm day and night.

Our Happy 2 has served us really well for our road trip to the east. Aside from the amenities provided which were plenty, i'd like to point out that Happy Campers did not scrimp on the studded tyres(Michelin) which is essential especially when driving on the winter roads with icy surfaces. Will definitely recommend

Happy campers did an excellent job in the booking process, the pick up and drop off, and providing me with a campervan that was great for a very good price.
I wanted to rebook to stay 1 night less, which was no problem. I even saw a temporary discount they gladly helped me with in this new booking.
Pick up was smooth and due to my hotel changing, they also dropped me off at this new location, no problem.
I stayed in the Happy 1 (new) for 4 nights by myself in October. It stayed a very nice warm temperature all night (I even had to turn it down the first night) so I wasn't too warm or too cold. The Happy 1 (new) was perfect to cook your meals in the comfort of the van which was nice and warm. Maybe if it's 2 of you, it might be a bit small but plenty camp sites let you cook in their kitchen.

A friend and I travelled around Iceland in a Happy Camper van and it was an amazing experience.
The van was comfortable, easy to drive and had everything we needed for our trip.
We were a bit nervous about being able to keep warm during the night but there was no issues with this at all. The heating system worked perfectly.
The service from the staff was incredible!
It was an amazing trip and defininitely not my last Van-holiday.
I can recommend Happy Campers!

The van came with everything needed for a really comfy and safe road trip, and staff were friendly and helpful getting set up! Heater worked well overnight, but the blankets were warm enough I almost didn't need it. I shopped around for awhile before settling on this one and found it seemed to be the best value. Was not disappointed - watch out for discounts for fall season and booking 60-90 days in advance!

I rented the Happy 1 Auto. My grandmother traveled with me and had an incident at the airport on the day we arrived and we had to go the hospital. Happy campers was super flexible and picked us up from the hospital and was super accommodating and kind with the pick up process. Drop off was easy and quick! Everyone was so kind from booking to drop off! 10/10 would recommend and use again!

Muy recomendado! Tienen diferentes tipos de van de acuerdo a lo que necesites, el personal muy amable . La camioneta no tuvo ninguna falla y están equipadas con todo lo que necesitas para el viaje, puedes rentar un equipo de wifi para la camioneta y tiene cobertura en todo el país. Durante la noche puedes encender la calefacción de la van y pasar una noche sin frío

We rent Happy Camper 2-3 pax for almost 2 weeks in Jul-Aug 2024. Pick-up and Drop-off very easy and the van is nicely set-up. Very easy to drive and set-up camp. We love it, renting the campervan made our trip so much more fun and memorable.

These guys are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Super easy to deal with and their vans are well equipped and comfortable. Spend 10 days traveling around iceland and was super comfy the whole time . I highly recommend these guys!!!!!

The only way to see Iceland!
We spent a week travelling Ring Road to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The team surprised us with a little bottle of bubbly & wine glasses when we arrived! We rented the Happy 2 - 3pax van for 2 of us. The van comes with everything you need; pot, pan, dishes, sheets, an overnight heater, a cooler etc. Honestly, I would do this type of trip over and over again. It was wonderful to travel this amazing country while having everything with you.
The team at Happy Campers were friendly, helpful, and answered all of our questions. My only recommendation is to GET GRAVEL INSURANCE!!! Roads are crazy in some spots in Iceland. We thought our visa insurance would cover damage, but found out later camper vans are not included - totally on us and not on Happy Campers, just something to note for when you book. Thank you guys for everything! You're the best! You'll be seeing us again in the future xox

We had the most amazing experience with Happy Campers. Booking was very straightforward. I had a few queries prior the trip that were answered quickly.
On the pick up date, we were collected from the airport as previously arranged. The paperwork was quick. They have a space with leftovers from other travellers, which was nice, we picked up a few spices saving us a few €€.
We booked an older model, fully aware of its design limitations. The isolation and blackouts for example aren’t super great, but we made an informed decision because we were on a tight budget. Despite this minor design flaws, the van ended up being super reliable and comfortable. We traveled, cooked and slept on it for 7 days, with zero issues. Space was tight, but manageable. I wish we would have packed in duffel bags instead of a suitcase as I think it would be easier to store way.
The fact Happy Campera provides cooking essentials and bedding with the rental was such a nice plus for us. We had plenty of gas to cook, the bedding smelled and fresh. We only had to do a quick stop for groceries and were ready to go.
We did book the happiest bundle to have the most comprehensive insurance coverage and had all extras we wanted included in the package, the tables, chairs and sleeping bags came in handy. We traveled in the second week of October, it was chilly but manageable and we felt very comfy in the van with the heating system.
The lady that helped us check in and out was super nice, I forgot the name, but she told us she is from Croatia. Thank you for your help.
I would definitely recommend Happy Campers, and will book with them again if we go back to Iceland. A stress free, very enjoyable experience.

This was my first camper rental experience although I've been following Happy Campers for some time. Most of my other trips to Iceland included others with me so it's never been an option until this recent trip. My focus on this trip was all about capturing the northern lights as much as possible, wherever the weather was best around the country. A small camper van seemed the best choice. I chose the Happy 1 Ex Auto for my trek. It was bit smaller than I expected and don't know how 2 people could stay in for very long. I did minimal cooking, coffee, oatmeal, ramen, and made a few sandwiches. The Happy Campers digital map came in handy when I was planning my trip around the island, day to day, chasing auroras.
Checkin and checkout were pretty straight forward. I arrived with quite a few other people, so many that the 2 passenger vans needed to return back to the airport for us. This led to a later departure once I arrived. I didn't opt for the extra insurance because of the additional travel insurances I had for car rentals.
All in all, it was a good experience for just myself. It was perfect for getting me to my destinations. I would opt for a larger rental in the future even for just myself.

Happy Campers is an amazing place. They worked with us There was no waiting for a response: They were very kind people with the utmost professionalism. Anytime you need roadside assistance right on top of it. I was about Camper, but Happy Campers lived up to their reviews. We spent a week and a half Camper and we absolutely loved it! I’m going back and doubt my Happy Campers every time. They did for us that they didn’t even have to do, but they were super super kind people.

Servicio exquisito, nos recogieron en el hotel a la llegada y nos llevaron al aeropuerto cuando dejamos la camper.
El vehículo estaba perfecto, pocos kms, limpio y con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de Islandia desde el primer minuto.
La relación calidad/precio es insuperable, aunque el precio se olvida y el trato recibido será inolvidable.
Lo recomiendo si ninguna duda.

I had an amazing experience renting a camper from Happy Campers for my solo trip in Iceland! The check-in and return process was super easy, and the van was in great condition with everything I needed, including a fridge, burner, sink with water, and comfy bedding. The staff were fantastic!

We had a great deal of excitement leading up to this trip and the various interactions we had with the Happy Campers staff. There were two small hiccups with the pick up process but this was addressed and resolved quickly. Our Happy 3 van was a comfortable choice for a couple, and provided more space than some of the smaller options. We didn’t end up needing 4x4 or any snow tires in the beginning of October, so this model worked perfectly. The heater was able to run all night and take the chill off when it was in the 20s and 30s °F (-1 - 0 °C) at night. The fridge and stove worked without issue, and you get plenty of fuel; we didn’t even use one full can after cooking for a week. We can’t wait to come back and see the rest of I eland and hope to rent from Happy Campers again when we do!

Happy Camper war die Beste Wahl, Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist super, man ist autonom, da man keinen Stromanschluss brauch. Vans sind super aufgebaut, sehr gemütlich einfach eine tolle Erfahrung gemacht. Beim nächsten Besuch werde ich zu 100% nochmal bei Happy Camper buchen.

The happy campers experience was amazing! When you get to the Reception, they really take care of you and explain everything about the camper and how it all works. The campers have everything you need to survive in Iceland's wild nature - it's a real challenge to travel there, but happy campers make your trip easier with their top-notch vans. Great job, guys! We'll definitely return to Iceland, but next time we'll rent a 4X4 camper..

Una empresa de camper grande y a la vez atenta y familiar. Es económica y aún así no siento que faltase nada. Si cogéis un modelo EX, notaréis que son furgonetas con uso y algún desgaste propio de la edad, pero bien tratadas y con todo lo necesario.
Happy Campers también se ocupa de darte botellas de gas, mantas de sobra y todo lo necesario. De hecho, en nuestro caso cargamos demasiadas cosas en la furgoneta que no utilizamos y ocupaban espacio. La calefacción es muy efectiva y nos sobraron mantas.
Además de la atención al cliente, de lo mejor que tiene es el hecho de poder cocinar dentro. En un país como Islandia, poder cocinar dentro de la furgoneta sin tener que abrir puertas se agradece especialmente, ya que a nadie le apetece tener el maletero abierto con lluvia y viento por la noche.
Por último, tuvimos algún problema con accesorios que contratamos y dejaron de funcionar, pero después se encargaron de reembolsarnos el coste, no tienen problema en aceptar errores cuando se cometen. Se esfuerzan en mejorar y dar la mejor experiencia posible.
