We thoroughly enjoyed our Happy Campers experience traveling around the ring road in Iceland. We especially loved the flexibility the camper van provided us with to go where ever and whenever we wanted in Iceland. Also the resources and info that Happy Campers provided upfront was a big help for us to plan our trip. Our only thought about doing something different next time would be to get a slightly larger Happy Campers van so that things didnt get so disorganized along the way (cant tell you how many times things got misplaced). Definitely a very special way to see the beauty of Iceland!!!!!

We had an INCREDIBLE experience with Happy Campers! I would absolutely recommend it to people looking for a way to get around Iceland- we had the EX with two people and found it to be enough space. love the sink and the bed that converted to a bench. the airport shuttle service was great and they answered all our questions. If you’re looking for a camper van service i would choose happy camper for sure!

Superbe première expérience. Un accueil à l'aéroport pour nous emmener à l'agence. Beaucoup d'explications, ils prennent bien le temps. Tour du véhicule ensemble. Nous avons eu une panne de chauffage à l'autre bout du pays et cela a été réglé dans la matinée qui a suivi ce qui a permis de ne pas être trop en retard sur le programme.
Première expérience en van concluante, nous recommencerons !

My husband and I had such a good time traveling around with our camper. Everything worked perfectly and was explained well to us, and Munch did an excellent job getting us on the road with humor while also being thorough about what we needed to know.
However, these guys really shined after the trip was over! I returned the van before opening hours and immediately after dropping the keys through the slot I realized I’d left the bag containing my very nice camera under the seat!
I called as soon as they opened and again spoke to Munch. He assured me the bag would be found and shipped. Within 36 hours Nikola had it in the mail and provided me with a tracking number. I was sick with worry about my camera and so grateful to the happy team for helping me out!

Unser Urlaub in Island war ein voller Erfolg. Nicht unwesentlich lag es am fahrbaren Untersatz von Happy Campers (VW Bus Crafter 4x4).
Alle (leider kann ich mich aber nicht an einzelne Namen erinnern) waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und kompetent. Während der Reise gab es auch diverse Wetterwarnungen welche auch alle berechtigt waren !

Very happy with our Happy Campers experience in Iceland Our 4x5 van took us on a faultless journey for 2 weeks including off road and river crossings . Comfy and compact we had cosy nights from the heating system and basic cooking facilities. The staff were quick and efficient Thanks for providing reliable transport for a great adventure

Fantastic company to rent with. Communication through out the whole experience was great, even when our flight was canceled. We rented for 15 nights and it was the best way to see Iceland. Cozy, comfortable, and reliable. We were truly Happy Campers! Highly recommend!

What a great way to tour Iceland! Campervan let us drive "around" the bad weather. We were gluded to the island weather website. And just drove to the spot that didn't have a storm. Camper had everything we needed. Including a heater

We had an amazing trip thanks to having an incredible camper van from Happy Campers. The van was everything we needed and more and the customer service was outstanding. We needed to change our pick up day to a day earlier and Haukur was very helpful and responsive. The van itself was amazing and handled beautifully in some very steep and challenging road conditions. We couldn't be happier with our van and our experience with Happy Campers and we plan to return to see norther Iceland and will be renting from Happy Campers again. Thank you to all, especially Haukur.

We had a great experience with Happy Campers. Everything was so simple including checkout in early morning before opening hours. Wifi was unlimited high speed everywhere and roads were in good shape.

Incredible experience - Right from handing over the van to the orientation to the many tips and safe driving notes shared, the team made sure that we were comfortably set up before commencing the journey. (Lilijana was our agent and she was nothing but wonderful).
The van and the equipment provided were very solid and held steadfast over our 12 day journey over gravel roads and twisty coastal and mountain roads. We encountered no issues over the 4,300 kms we drove and that is testament enough.
We are glad to provide our highest recommendation!

Wir hatten einen Happy 1 EX und haben ihn geliebt.
Man muss wissen, die alten, etwas günstigeren Modelle (EX) haben wirklich viele Kilometer drauf. Dafür fanden wir zu zweit die Ausstattung super durchdacht. Besonders gemocht haben wir, dass das Bett tagsüber eine Bank war, so dass wir uns abends oder auch bei Regen schön reinsetzen konnten.
Die Übergabe aber auch die Rückgabe war völlig problemlos, gute Erklärung sehr schnelle Rückgabe.
Die Hotline mussten wir einmal in Anspruchnehmen, weil das Getriebe nach einer sehr steilen Fahrt stank. Uns wurde gut geholfen, Werkstatt in der Nähe genannt und einmal drüber geguckt.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder einen Happy nehmen

Staff was super friendly and the van was very clean. They run a very smooth operation from pick up at the airport, check-in, going over the functionality of the van and finally drop-off. Ljiljana and Arber were great. Thanks for setting us up for a great trip.

We rented the new happy 1 for this summer to do our first road trip ever. We spend 14 days on the road around the country (not only the ring road). It was an amazing time! I am glad we did rented the newest car because having and automatic car with the speed control is very confortable when driving more than 3000km. We were worried about the space but we manage to sleep confortable. We had to leave the luggage at happy campers office and took only the packing cubes with us and worked well.The only issue we had was with the water pump for the dish washing that stopped working and they really tried to fix it twice, but it was temperamental and it stopped working until 2 days before giving back the camper it got fixed by it´s own. It wasn´t a deal breaker for us because they really tried to get it fixed, we were the ones who decided not to try a 3rd time and you have places to wash your dishes in almost every campsite. The emergency phone in Whatsapp worked well and they responded really fast when we reported the problem. They also offered a compensation for all the troubles without even asking for one. Maybe the only thing I might think about improving is to put some kind of cover for the space in front of the heater because there is not a lot of storage space and we had to put some stuff there and things there get really warm (we put the pan at nights to avoid the hot air going in and it worked well). WiFí was great and worked all the time without any issues. Heater worked well and that for us, comming from latinamerica, was a must! I think there is no better way to know Iceland than in a camper. This was by far the best trip of our lives!!!

Acabem de tornar d'Islandia i no ha pogut sortir res millor, ha estat un viatge fantàstic. Hem passat dues setmanes amb una camper HAPPY 4x4 i tot ha anat de meravella. La furgoneta era perfecte per nosaltres (parella amb un nen de 4 anys) amb tot el que es pot necessitar per passar unes vacances sense cap tipus d'assistència. El vehícle estaba en unes condicions molt bones i quan hem necessitat contactar amb les oficines ha estat ràpid i senzill. El manteniment i la maniobrabilitat de la camper ens ha semblat extraordinaria. T'ofereixen una equipació totalment completa i totes les comoditats que us pugueu imaginar, fins i tot ens van deixar joguines pel nen. Sense cap dubte repetiriem demà mateix. Mil gracies!!!!

We had a great experience in Iceland traveling for 10 days by camper van rented at happy campers. Very kind people and attentive. The freedom we got in the van is priceless if wanting to explore. Good Heating and cooking inside when bad weather saves you in many ways.
The space Inside for sleeping is good enough if you are not too big or tall. Unforgettable memories in such a beautiful country. Really worth it.

Rented a HappyCamper 3 for the two of us. Ample room. Good basics - everything functioned well.
Unfortunately, our vehicle had earlier damage to the driver's door which made a loud sound every time it was opened. It'll be repaired off-season.
Pick-up of the vehicle is not Reykavik. It is near the airport, KEF. And office hours are 8-5. So best to pick-up when arriving, otherwise it'll be another trip by bus to KEF to meet the HC shuttle for rental. Drop-off prior to flight departure was seamless.
Overall, good people and functional camper vans, albeit garish with the big logos.

We explored Iceland in one of the red mini-campers (the new one) and it was the perfect choice. The car is small enough that you find a parking space everywhere and is easy enough to get around, but big enough for two people to sleep in it. The small kitchen was great as well. We used it quite often. Everything went perfectly from booking to getting the car to drop it off again. It's not cheap, but the service and quality of the car was definitely worth it!
