These guys know their stuff. Very professional in every sense. The staff is very welcoming, the online costumer service is super responsive. They’ll tell you everything you need to know before heading out on your Icelandic adventure using very professional aids (I was impressed by the giant touchscreen), and they’ll give you a tablet with an app that is connected to Google maps as well as with websites with important info about weather, roads and aurora forecasts. Renting a van from Happy Campers was an essential part of my trip to Iceland, I can’t recommend these guys enough. Special shout-out to Jón and to the guy who picked me up at the airport, whose name I can’t remember (sorry!). They were great, fun and extremely helpful.

Excellent service from Happy Campers. It was easy to make a reservation, they pick you up from the airport, getting the vehicle is quick and they give you the dos and don'ts for travel in Iceland.
Highly recommend them and would happily use them again.

I have used Happy Campers now on 2 different occasions and both experiences were positive. The staff were friendly and the vehicles have been clean and in good operating condition. On the most recent trip I made use of their phone support as a window curtain got shut in a door disabling the main sliding door from functioning. The staff was great about getting me connected to a service partner nearest my location who was able to get the door operational again.
Camper Vans are a great way to travel and experience Iceland and maintain flexibility. Happy Campers gets 5 stars and two thumbs up from this camper!!

I rented a camper from them with my fiancée and it was honestly an amazing trip - The car started to break down along the way (Through no fault of the rental company) and they drove a replacement halfway across the country to help us carry on with our journey.

I absolutely recommend Happy Campers. It was such an awesome experience and I loved my little home for the ten days it took me to go around Iceland. Everything worked perfectly in the van. Staff was the best at all times. Undoubtedly, the best way to know Iceland. I would definitely do this again with Happy Campers.

Very good the van and the benefits. Along with the trip and the island, the best. We had a small problem with the duvet and cushions and Jon, an employee of Happy Campers was able to solve us successfully and return the corresponding part of the money.
We do not doubt that if we return (that we will return) we will hire Happy campers as the 1st option to visit the part of the island that we still have to see.

Highly recommend! We did a two day layover in Iceland and our Happy Camper van was a perfect way to travel. We drove the ring road with the flexibility to let our toddler nap whenever needed, and loved having the heater running so we could always return to a warm van after traipsing through cold waterfalls and hikes.

Proud to call ourselves Happy Campers! We met with Benjamin to pick up our vehicle and he shared a great wealth of information that we would need to enjoy ourselves and be safe on our 7 day road trip. The location has plenty of complimentary items to select from and their extra options were well worth including.
During our trip, Happy Campers made sure to email us an alert due to unsafe driving conditions on the South Coast. This helped us avoid getting caught up in 90 mph winds that we saw had thrown other vehicles off the road. Even when we encountered mechanical difficulties with one of their "Experienced" vehicles, they quickly got us set up with a new vehicle by the next morning and even offered to reimburse us for a stay at a nearby guest house.
Happy Campers is great and will be our go-to every time we are visiting Iceland in the future.

Our experience with HC was terrific! Happy Campers has a great website, the staff is very responsive to both emails and phone calls and the in-office employees were friendly and helpful! We loved our HC2EX for the 8 days we visited Iceland. The camper van was the way to go in touring the island. It was incredibly easy to drive and use the sink, camp stove and heater. I can highly recommend Happy Camper!

Very nice and friendly staff and helpful because we did not know too much about insurance.camper vans were amazing as we were 4 cars and each car was different.so we learned for each car...booking was easy and happy campers provide many extras..i ll prefer it next time for sure

I just got back a few days ago after spending ten beautiful days in Iceland in a happy camper. I had the Happy 1 automatic and for my solo trip it truly was the perfect mix of being convenient and easy to drive and park, while offering everything I needed for my days on the road. I will say, as a large person, I personally would choose one of the larger campers to travel as a couple, although certainly this vehicle is workable for two. The Happy Campers staff were amazing to work with start to finish. When I arrived I realized I had accidentally booked a manual transmission. Despite being heavily booked, their staff was able to secure me an automatic and get it cleaned and ready for the road promptly. As an American with no manual experience this was absolutely a life saver. The tablet and app are great and make being in touch about issues very simple. The cooking equipment gets the job done. The van stays pretty toasty and warm at night. Everything was clean. I would work with this company again in a heartbeat if I am so lucky as to return to Iceland!

After we were not too lucky with the first camper rental company at the end of September 2021 we contacted Happy Campers to ask if they might have a Camper available on short notice. Ohana gave me a call to clarify what we need and the duration of our stay so she could check. Not even 10 minutes later I received a call that she could provide us one. After we clarified the details in our group our adventure with Happy Campers was about to start and we were able to pick up the camper on the same day! Because of Ohanas help and the amazing customer service from Happy Campers we were able to truly become Happy Campers and collect unforgetable memories that will last a lifetime. For the next trip to Iceland I am sure we already know which rental company we will choose :)

The staff at happy campers was very friendly and helpful. Our battery stopped charging in East Iceland and they found a local mechanic to replace the relay for us.

Happy Campers helped make our Iceland vacation a special and fun way to explore. Krist picked us up right on time at the airport and spent time with us explaining everything we needed to know. The camper had everything we needed. The van drove very well and my husband was confident and comfortable driving. Even though we booked an "experienced" van, the camper came through for us. My only complaint was the bed was a bit too firm. When we finished our trip, Krist again took great care of us and got us to airport in plenty of time for our flight. Thank you Happy Campers for helping to make this trip a very special memory!

Non potevamo chiedere di meglio per la nostra avventura on the road in Islanda! Abbiamo noleggiato il van Happy 1 (quello più piccolo) e ci siamo trovati benissimo: super accessoriato e pulito! Il riscaldamento (da usare a veicolo fermo) è potente e non abbiamo mai sofferto il freddo. Certo, qualche spiffero si sente durante la notte (l'aria calda esce da un bocchettone posto sotto il letto) ma ci sono coperte e piumini in abbondaza anche per i climi più impervi (e fidatevi, non saprete mai cosa aspettarvi dal clima islandese... è del tutto imprevedibile e a volte estremo anche durante l'autunno). Anche i sedili sono riscaldati, il che è fantastico soprattutto quando fuori diluvia e le giacche hanno bisogno di asciugarsi un po'. In dotazione anche un comodissimo ipad per il navigatore, le info utili e soprattutto la chat, che abbiamo avuto modo di utilizzare e con cui ci hanno dato immediata risposta. Anche il customer service è ottimo, sia tramite email prima della partenza, sia al momento del pick up. Inoltre effettuano servizio navetta da e per l'aeroporto, gratuitamente. Speriamo ci sarà ancora occasione di tornare in Islanda e di vivere l'esperienza in van con Happy Campers :)

We had a great time driving around Iceland for two weeks. Great pick up and dropp off service. Had no problems with the van whatsoever, everything worked as it should. Jon? (hayfever guy) was great explaining and understood our jokes. Would hire here again in a heartbeat!
