Due to the fact that different platforms have different APIs, some of our EmbedFeed functionalities are limited by them.

In this article, we will inform you about these limitations.

Facebook’s API limitations:

  • Facebook’s API only allows you to pull posts from a Facebook page you manage (for which you have active permissions).

  • The moment you create the feed only the last (*newest) 50 posts will be generated in EmbedSocial.

  • We are not able to pull Facebook Reels due to Facebook API limitations

Instagram’s API limitations:

  • You can pull Instagram mention posts only if the Facebook account which manages the Instagram account is connected to EmbedSocial due to Instagram API privacy policy reasons.

  • When you create an Instagram hashtag feed in EmbedSocial for example #embedsocial, the system automatically pulls 20 Top Posts and 20 Most Recent posts posted in the last 24 hours.

  • The moment you create the feed only the last (*newest) 50 posts will be generated in EmbedSocial.

  • Some Instagram reels that contain music may not be pulled due to copyright violations, learn more here

YouTube’s API limitations:

  • We cannot pull live videos on our platform.

  • The moment you create the feed only the last (*newest) 50 videos will be generated in EmbedSocial.

  • We cannot pull YouTube private videos even if they are added to a playlist due to YouTube API limitations.

  • Only YouTube

Vimeo’s API limitations:

  • The moment you create the feed only the last (*newest) 50 videos will be generated in EmbedSocial.

LinkedIn API limitations:

  • At the moment we are pulling posts only from Company/organization accounts, not from Personal LinkedIn accounts due to API limitations.

  • The moment you create the feed only the last (*newest) 50 posts will be generated in EmbedSocial.

If you want more posts to be pulled in your widget or have any questions for us, feel free to reach out and chat with us or send us an email at support@embedsocial.com
